So, I created some account on Reddit with Residential VPN in 2025. Like three, they are all still active.

Now I can't even register a new account. After I verify the mail there is directly a "server error", The account isn't even registered. Thought the VPN was bad, so I changed to a $5 per GB Residential proxy. Same error, but at least Google doesn't captcha me...

I obviously create a new profile. Outlook email. Will try a new computer tomorrow.

More ideas?

Residential proxies barely work anymore. Mobile proxies are the way to go, or just use your own phone. Best success rate right now is creating the account through the Reddit mobile app on 4G or 5G mobile data with a Gmail address and no VPN or proxy during signup. Desktop registration fails constantly because Reddit fingerprints everything. Create the account on mobile first, let it age a bit, then add a proxy later if needed. After much trial and error I found this to work the best

The last and best chance is to use the mobile proxy as the vpns and residential proxies no longer work for the Reddit anymore.

Using a mobile proxy might help, because Reddit tends to trust genuine mobile carrier IPs more than VPNs or residential proxies.
