How to advertise on reddit?

Hello there, everyone!

IMO reddit is one of the hardest oprion to be advertised on. I don't mean fully ad posts, comparison threads etc

Simple, useful article and the links at the end would do things. But Reddit bot has high antispam/antiad (whatever it is) mechanism. It is quite stressing, though - even meaningful posts are being rejected.


So a question to you - have you been able to create your company account there? How did you grow it?

Yeah, Reddit is brutal — especially for IT/proxy topics. Anti-spam is aggressive and bans happen fast, even for useful content. Growing a company account there is very slow and risky.

Grow a personal, high-karma account first by being a genuine community member for 6+ months. Then, transparently disclose your affiliation when sharing relevant company content. Reddit's anti-spam targets low-karma accounts and undisclosed promotion. Success comes from trust built over time, not a company account blast.

I remember after creating a new account ONLY for personal use the reddit bot does not allow to post anything.

For the first few days, you can not do anything.

After a few days, start engaging in comments first and start posting days later, after you have gained some comment karma.

And to post in hard sub, you need to have some karma in it.

to gain karma, the best tip is that (it is funny as hell)

post few comments as a female or in subs where teens are present; those conversations are pretty nonserious, and you can gain karma faster

Yes, when I tried to create a channel like "World Proxy," I was immediately banned. So I chose the strategy of creating an unaffiliated channel and building my reputation through general subreddits.

Totally agree, Reddit’s anti-spam filters are tough. I’ve had some success by focusing on genuinely helpful content, engaging in niche subreddits, and avoiding overt promotion. Growth is slow but steady when you build trust first.

Check the market place. I had a review copy from one of the sellers and my posts stuck on a big-ish subreddit.
I don't know if they can use UTM, so you'd need to talk to the sellers directly.

reddit works best when the ad feels like a regular post, so i test community-style headlines instead of traditional marketing ones.

I left my review here but there are some others who sell reddit posts, I also had a review copy from somebody else but don't remember who.

Posting links directly, especially at the end of posts, often triggers reddit’s spam filter, new accounts should avoid links and keep them only in the profile bio, building karma is important too spend time commenting and reach at least 50-100 karma before posting, focus on giving real value with no promotion, because helpful posts naturally drive people to check your profile.
