Hi everyone. I noticed about three months ago that AI-generated articles like chatgpt and claude in Medium, LinkedIn, and Dev.to stopped being indexed by Google. I tried adding backlinks and running them through indexers, but to no avail. What do you do with articles to get them indexed by Google? Hiring a copywriter is an obvious solution, but has anyone had success getting AI-generated articles indexed? Just a year ago, Google indexed everything, and you could get thousands of views a day from such content, but now that doesn't work.

It is not true that ai articles are not being index. What you will say is that low quality ai articles are not indexed. If you take your time, research and write an article with AI, which is of value, it will definitely be indexed and rank

I’ve run into the same problem. Pure AI articles rarely get indexed now unless they show real effort...human edits, examples, formatting, and unique insights. Backlinks alone won’t cut it. The workaround is rewriting with personal touches or combining AI drafts with genuine reporting; otherwise, Google mostly ignores them.

You should humanize the content and then index them. Google can only take so much of the same regurgitated trash that AI is creating and it's ranking AI articles lower than natural human written (or humanized) content.

How do you humanize content? Is there a tool? Or are you talking about humanizing content manually, without the help of tools?

Check if the platform added a <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> tag to your article. Dev.to and Medium sometimes set articles to "noindex" if you have a new account, low followers/likes, low community interaction (reading, commenting and liking other people's content) or a blacklisted VPN.

You're looking for the problem in the wrong place. Check your content. Read it over. If you see repetitive text that doesn’t make any real sense and doesn’t answer any questions, it’s time to rewrite your prompts. Google doesn’t index spam - that is, text that lacks meaningful content. Google is very good at checking text for usefulness using its own LLM.
