I’ve been running some targeted campaigns on Amazon Ads lately, and the traffic data is looking extremely suspicious.

I'm seeing high ctr but almost 0% engagement on the listing. Many sessions show instant bounces, behaving exactly like automated bots or click farms. It feels like my budget is being drained by competitors rather than real buyers.

Is anyone else seeing this "Ghost Traffic" on their Amazon PPC? Are there any tools or settings you guys use to filter out bot clicks, or is Amazon just letting this happen to make more money? Would love to hear how you guys are protecting your ad spend.

Yeah, I’m seeing the same, high CTR, zero engagement. I filter by IPs, geos, and use negative targeting to cut bot traffic, but it’s still a problem.

Amazon has some junk clicks, best you can do is narrow targeting and focus on high intent keywords.

I’m glad someone is addressing this topic. It made me realize that I’m not alone in this situation. I’ve been experiencing the same issues, and I suspected there was something wrong with the targeting, even though I had laser targeted a specific group of people. This is quite concerning, and I hope Amazon will address and resolve this issue as soon as possible. For now, I don’t encourage my clients to burn more money on ads, instead, I recommend them focusing more on social media to build their brand.

I’ve experienced something similar when running Amazon PPC. High CTR but almost no add to carts or conversions, with sessions bouncing very fast.

In my opinion, besides bots, it could also be competitors clicking the ads. Right now Amazon doesn’t have a truly effective click-filtering tool, so the only thing I can do is optimize targeting, lower bids on suspicious keywords, add negative keywords, and closely monitor the data to reduce wasted ad spend.

Yes, Amazon PPC click fraud is rampant, especially from competitors using click farms in low-cost regions. Use Amazon's placement reports to identify and exclude high-impression, zero-conversion ASINs and websites. Consider third-party click-fraud monitoring tools for larger budgets. Amazon's incentives aren't fully aligned with fixing this.

Amazon's fraud filters are pretty weak so you should use a third-party tracker to catch the competitor bots draining your budget.

fraud is definitely worse this year with all the AI bots and competitors using residential proxies to drain budgets. amazon’s filters are okay but they miss a lot, so try using something like ClickCease or Lunio to auto-block suspicious IPs in real time.

You are not the only one who experience bad traffic from amazon. I have same thing happen to me . I didn't use anymore amazon but the experience was bad and dont think you can do something about only to target specific

Yeah I’ve seen this too, high CTR but no sales usually means bad or bot traffic; best is to use negative keywords, block suspicious IPs, and watch placements closely.

Amazon definitely ignores some bot traffic to make money, try lowering your bid on broad match and stick to exact match to filter out junk.

yeah its mostly bots now, amazon just wants our money.

Yeah a lot of sellers saying same thing, weird high CTR low real buys and feels like fake clicks, some use fraud tools or tighter targeting but still happening.

yeah lots of people see weird clicks on Amazon PPC, try blocks & negative keywords and use protection tools, but bots still there bro.

yeah many sellers are noticing this lately, high ctr but no engagement can happen from bots, click farms or even competitors clicking ads to drain budget, best thing you can do is tighten targeting, use more exact keywords and watch suspicious campaigns closely.

yeah happens a lot, high ctr but no engagement usually means bots or click farms, best bet is tighten targeting, pause low quality campaigns and watch suspicious clicks closely.

Yeah seen this too, sometimes Amazon just pushes low quality placements, try lowering bids and focus on exact match keywords.

I heard this. This is happened by Competitor Click Bot. Few people do that. You can report it on Amazon, They can detect and make it better for you.

Yeah, click fraud is getting worse in 2026 for sure. I’ve been seeing high CTR but zero engagement, which definitely looks like bot traffic or click farms messing with my campaigns. What I’ve been doing is keeping an eye on my search term reports for any weird patterns, adding negative keywords to filter out garbage traffic, and tweaking my bidding to avoid wasting money on clicks that won’t convert. Amazon's fraud detection isn't great, but at least these steps help minimize the damage.
