Dear forum users! Can you please tell me if p2p is dead? I've searched for spreads in all currencies, and they're practically negative everywhere (cryptocurrency, fiat). Is anyone actually making money right now? There's a good spread in Russia, but it's scam money, and cards are blocked! I couldn't find a real spread anywhere else!

P2P isn’t dead, I’m still using it on a regular basis personally. I do feel like p2p trading has a bigger learning curve than straight up buying through a CEX, hence people preferring that way.
Are you sure he is taking what you mean
He seems to be looking for p2p trading like fx models

P2P isn’t dead, the obvious spread is - anyone scanning Binance pages manually is late. Real edge now is rails + speed, regional payment quirks, timing windows around liquidity crunches, not static price gaps.

If you’re not automating monitoring + rotating banks/cards/accounts you’re competing with bots at zero margin, that’s why it feels “negative everywhere”. Russia still works because friction is high, same thing exists elsewhere just quieter + more operational work.

Pretty sure he means fiat > crypto on-ramps and back. There’s many platforms like localcoinswap where anyone can practically become a trader and take a small % for every swap made.
Yes, but I don't see a spread to make money.

P2P isn't dead but margins got squeezed hard. From what I see, the spread is around 3-5% profit.
Not amazing but still workable if you got volume.

If you’re searching for big static spreads across fiat or crypto everywhere, you likely won’t find them.

Is there any way that I can learn more about p2p before it dies?

May be happening because of government regulations.

P2P isn’t dead, but margins are very tight right now. Most public markets are overcrowded, so spreads look negative. People still making money usually work with volume, private deals, or specific regions. Russia has spread, but the risk with blocked cards is real. It’s harder than before, but not impossible

p2p isn’t totally dead, but spreads have gotten so tight globally that it’s basically not worth the risk/effort unless you’re in a very niche corridor with real volume and low enforcement. Most of the “easy profit” spreads people talk about now are either outdated, artificially inflated by riskier players, or come with compliance dangers (like sanctions or chargebacks). So yeah, if you’re not operating at scale in a legitimately legal lane, you’re probably better off looking at other strategies than chasing tiny or negative spreads.
