The conversation with far too many sellers goes like this.

ME: Hello, I'm interested in xxxxxx . What am I looking at for a price?

Seller : Quotes a price.

Me: Ok, thank you for your time. I'll contact you if I decide to use your service.

Seller : What's your budget?

Me : I'm just looking for prices at this time.

Seller : So tell me your budget

Me: Just give me your best price and I'll think it over.

Seller : But if you tell me your budget...

Honestly, why is it so difficult for some people to just give me their best price?

Yes, I know, this can come off as "rompepalle" especially if asked more than once, but you have to understand the other side a bit, different volumes can incurr different cost models, but yeah they should have free tiers and sme sort tiered pricing.

Usually, if they ask budget and call you, or nudge you by a call, run away as fast as you can, it is very liekly a scam.
Overall, I agree with you these are not good salesman, if someone cannot deliver a good sales pitch, like listening to the potential customer, they do not deserve you business.

A sales or leads pitch goes like, establish the need, timeline, pain points and as very last the budget. IF they are too dumb to read a business book or a 30 minute video online, f them is what I do.

I never contact anyone.

And 99% of the time the buyer is the one who begs for my product.

In fact, if I even do not like how a buyer talks to me they get blocked too.

There is a reason I've never been on a dispute here with 6 figures in sales in less than 2 years.

That's how I treat a seller as a buyer too. I do not care how they talk to me. All I care is whether they are honest, direct and deliver exactly what I want.

Bro calm down, first off I am 99.9% percent sure you do not have the stuff you are offering lol, google ads accounts, cloud credits and especially not a cloaking infrastructure that actually works, else you would not...be here.

"beg for your product" , please come down from that high horse.

Seen dozens like you, mate, and took my time to evaluate the offers, I laughed so hard, I almost had fluid spilling from my ears.. You are speaking to a senior dev who was in IT professionally too, my claim until otherwise proven is you do not have jack shit, start a thread and show you cloaking infrastrucutre and the dozens or hundreds of google ad accounts required.

How comes that has never happened in your "2 years without dispute" , judge them by the actions, not words, I say. Hvae a good day.

I would have never said one word if it were not for your "they beg for my services"

Same. But this kind of thing i also face in offline world while purchasing any real estate properties.

Maybe one day you'll understand when you become a seller. :)

Because If you give us your budget, we will get an idea of what other seller has offered you, then we will try to cut the price of other imaginary seller. Hope it helps to understand the seller part.

You think very highly of yourself, dont you?

So you're saying that next time I should just LIE and tell the seller that I've already been quoted a price that's 75% less.

Otherwise, I'm sticking to my approach of 'Here's what I want and how much is it going to cost?' If the seller can't give me their best price upfront then I'll just move on to the next person.

Since yesterday, I've been looking for SEO, etc., and I hate it even when people constantly ask "what's wrong" and what my answer is, etc. Some of them are so aggressive that I don't even want to buy from them anymore!!

I think it's also a cultural thing. Like negotiating in a bazaar. I don't mean that offensive in any way...i travel a lot and I actually enjoy that when I'm in Asia for example. Just doesn't work so good for the online world though.

Many seller may ask for a budget because they've found (especially when it comes to SEO) a lot of buyers are low ballers who want near infinite or 'elephant' value, for a peanuts 'price.' Hence the existence of 'packages' that can most cleanly be offered for a fixed price, as a package by itself does not imply gigantic or lasting results the way "I will rank your site" does. It also better signals the job is done (here's your 100 super links) better than services that may drag on for months to show significant changes on some body's site.

Honestly, why is it so difficult for some people to just give me their best price?
These guys need to find out how much effort it takes them to find a matching provider on fiverr / seoclerks.

ALL buyers are trying to get the most value for their money.
All a seller has to do is go as low as they're comfortable and then let the buyer decide if they want it or not.

Why does this surprize me?
There's a billion scams going on and this should not surpize me but it did.

Cheapskate spotted in the wild

(Also very desperate sellers lol)

Me too i hate this soooo much, they should ask what are your needs ? or gaols ? and then give me a quote price, if it is not in my budget we can then talk what is gonna wrok for my budget thats how it should work.

Personally, if i want the general idea of the price, either i ask the minimum or maximum fee / budget, or i just open a thread on haf section asking pricing quotes in my DM. But usually you have an idea about how much you are looking to spend, even to know if you project is viable or not
