Google De-Indexed EVERYTHING I Have - is this possible?

i have nearly the same problem... google sandboxed all my sites hosted on the same ip. i dont know why, because i also did nothing extra ordinary spammy.

that really sucks. i hope my other projects will still rank in future

So what we can all learn from this is...

Google does use their other platforms to monitor our sites and deindex them. I've always assumed this, but unfortunately for our op, he had to prove it to me.

Google can already look at the CTR from their engine to our pages which is a given, but perhaps they penalized you because you had a high CTR form your site to a some other page off site. This is just a theory, but maybe that is how they determine what is an what isn't a thin affiliate site.

There is a lot more to learn from this, but these are just my thoughts on the matter.

I had some sites deindexed because of something stupid I did.

a) adsense did not get banned as a result of deindexing, unlike what another poster said

I think you had too many sites on the same host, and in the same adsense account. Massive footprint.

Maybe you used some made-for-adsense type template, and the only ad on the page was adsense, so despite the good content, it looked MFA? Better to add some graphical ads on the side from amazon, etc. Makes the site look much more developed and not MFA.

If you had some sites that maybe had a good PR i suppose you did and you added a link to another site on some of these sites example you made a new site so you add a backlink to it from some of your MFA sites if you add the backlinks in the same week you can easily be banned. I will bet money your sites were linked in some obvious way. IP has nothing to do with it domains nothing to do with it if you used private whois. It is definately a link like a tracking or an image or any resource or something that makes domains link.

You made a point about unique content... I think a cubicle-junky at google will look at how the site "looks", i.e. does not look like MFA? Visuals is always the most important. I don't know if they ban for non-unique content (unless massive autoblogs).

I would be sorry for anyone emulating xfactor's look (I have a few I need to zap, hmmmm).

I'm involved in CPA/Adsense/Clickbank. I mostly do mini-sniper-type blogs, been doing this for a couple years, slowly building a nice big empire of blogs that make income. I'm not going to say how much I made, but it was in the tens of thousands per month with everything combined.

Today, I'm checking my stats on adsense, and my clickbank and cpa accounts. Something seems suspisciously low.

Basically everything I have, as of this afternoon, has been completely deindexed.

Your answer is in the first paragraph. Earlier this year there were a couple of reports of people getting several hundred sites deindexed after they hit a certain daily income on Adsense. (There might have been more examples, but not everyone this happens to talks about it). But the timing was interesting, as the deindexing happened just after a high round number in Adsense was passed.

I think the consensus was that when you hit a certain level of Adsense income, the Adsense team does a manual inspection. And once a human is looking at your stuff, anything they dislike could trigger a deindex.

Eg if your sites consist of just three pages (even though each of those pages might be 700 words long). Or if you have no outgoing links (which means that the reader can only click on an ad or backspace to exit). It could be that they just don't like the layout of your site (too many ads in the face of the reader). I've not heard of backlinking profiles triggering a deindex, but if the spam-team is getting irritated at certain tactics, then they might well deindex you for that too.

The bottom line is that Adsense is risky. You are better off doing affiliate marketing, selling your own products, anything other than Adsense. You should only put Adsense on sites that have failed to monetise with other methods.

If you are going to pursue Adsense, then have multiple accounts, and make sure that no account does more than $100 a day. As soon as you look like passing that, set up a new account.

Have you checked your backlinks to make sure someone isn't trying to attack you with massive amounts of spam links?

Never run Google analytics on your site unless it's completely white hat. It's the fastest way to get de indexed I've seen. I think they have software that uses it to find low quality sites.

Well, I kinda do the same thing as you cept I do mine a little different.

I Keep multiple servers, If you are gonna keep with a baby plan get a few of them and spread your websites out across them. Around 20-40 per server.

If you have to many on one server Hostgator will shut you account down regardless of "Unlimited bandwidth" You'll use up to many resources for that server and bam shut down. Spreading it out reduces that and helps with a lot of other things.

I read that you did get hacked or something of the sort? One of my servers was hacked as well, I didn't get deindexed but google blocked all of my sites on that specific server. I still had my other servers up and running just fine so it didn't effect me to bad. (another benefit of having multiple servers) Only way I could get that fixed was put a few of my sites on webmaster tools find the malicious code ask Hostgator to remove it and than ask google for reconsideration took about a week for everything to go back to normal.

I have quite a few sites, but the whole time I've been doing this I've only had one or two sites that was deindexed and I know fully the reason why. I basically spammed the crap outta them with a comment spammer. Wasn't anyone's fault but my own. They still ranked on Yahoo and Bing though so it wasn't a total loss.

I dunno to me it sounds like a lot of your problems would be fixed by running mutiple servers but that's just my opinion.

Yep I think that's what got me. I had used an xfactor type theme on a lot of my sites (not all), that clickbump theme. So a lot of my sites had a very similar look. I guess I did this to save on time, and focused on quality content instead of a quality looking theme. Ah well.

Ya, I learned my lesson. When I rebuild everything, I plan to only have a couple dozen or so sites on 1 registrar/hosting account. Then switch. I do have a few corporations that I have adsense accounts in, so once I hit a certain amount on an adsense account, it's time to switch. In fact, I will probably build them all up slowly at once, like 5 sites at a time per account. And using a different layout/theme for each site. No more clickbump/xfactor crap.

And NO analytics or webmaster tools for me. I think this was the ultimate downfall and the way they tracked all my sites. Someone might have reported one of my sites for forum sig spam or something, so they just nixed everything that was connected to that site through analytics code - regardless if I had truly high quality sites in the mix. What sucks is I read something about not putting analytics on any of your sites for this very reason, and I was just too lazy to do it to all of my sites.

Luckily it's not a total loss, and the sites I do have remaining make money while I rebuild.

You don't have to set up corporations. In many places, you can do some kind of business name set up with its own id, for which you can set up a bank account. But you do can include it on your own tax return (so not a corporation, maybe a partnership). This way you avoid incorporation fees and doing extra costly tax returns.

And to be double paranoid, don't use google toolbar!

So my advice (to myself too), if you set up a microblog, get a widget-ready theme, put in tons of related widgets and stuff, and make it look rich. Don't "look" MFA (or xfactor, even worse!!).

I think unique content is less important than how your forum looks.

I did add a few of my affected sites to the webmaster tools, and they did have that error at the top that says it "doesn't comply with webmaster guidelines", but I have no idea what part or why.


That would have to be part of the problem don't you think?

Yeah I've never added analytics to any of my sites for this very same reason. I do have adsense on a lot of them though

After reading a bunch of crap online the past couple days, I'm pretty sure I know what to do now for this not to happen again. My problem isn't necessarily rebuilding everything, it will take a bit of time, but I know every single keyphrase, niche, mini-niche, and offers that made me money, and I know exactly how to rank for them. The problem was, I didn't know what the fook I did wrong in the first place. After reading the comments here and lots of different SEO forums etc, it's pretty clear on what I did and what I need to do.

Build higher quality sites, and diversify my hosts/registrar accounts. The content on my sites was actually very high quality, I just skimped on the looks to save time, so this will not happen again.

Keep my affiliate/cpa sites on separate hosting/registrar than any sites with an adsense account. Try to make less than $100/day on each adsense account, although some sites alone made more then that, so I'm still up in arms about how to do that one. I also flip adsense sites once they start making money, so I think before I sell them I will transfer them to a "selling" registrar/hosting account, that way nobody can track my stuff when I put them up on auction sites. I think that's about it.

If anyone has any other good ideas to prevent this from happening again, I'm all ears. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Sounds like you got it figured. This really sucks so I hope they don't do it to you again.

Here's how I go about things:

1. No google analytics

2. I grab little used WP themes and alter them to suit my needs

3. Separate adsense in every way possible from other monetizing methods and sites

4. View adsense as a funding source for my real projects. I keep it over $50/day and that's good enough to fund buying programs, other sites, etc

I've never used them, but I believe that there are alternative networks to adsense that you could use.

But great job at staying on track and not wasting time. You're not starting all over because you know what is converting already. That information is gold in itself and can make you money tomorrow.
