What a brilliant idea and so, so well executed. I'm going to spend so much time on this thing, all those memories. If they add an Alternative Nation section, I may have to retire.

Maybe we're not doomed after all. The internet can still be good.

Only you could get me to click .xyz link, and I am so glad I did, but wife will be pissed as she hates anything 80s! Nice find!

Defiantly a refreshing interactive web app. Just cool ui, and embedded YouTube api with a filter for dates, and a nicely annoying buy me a coffee link! lol if this isn't already viral, it will be a nice earner if is.

Who says you have to build a blog these days? There is so much choice out there to reinvent perspectives, use nostalgia, and get customer loyalty.

Absolutely. This is something that people actually like and will enjoy using, rather than just soullessly created to fit an algorithm.

I really hope it becomes a big hit for them and it shouldn't fall foul of any copyright issues either.

Yeah, this is one of those rare internet wins. Simple idea, executed really well, and it hits pure nostalgia without trying too hard.

Stuff like this is a good reminder that the internet isn’t dead, it’s just buried under noise. When someone builds something for fun and not for algorithms, it really shows. :)

Why they didn't go with a CRT TV style border around the video is beyond me. That would have been the icing on the cake. They could have made the knobs on the telly control the volume and stuff as well, maybe even styled it as Beavis and Butt-head's TV for some added MTV flair
