Preferred Sources and Ranking + Microworkers ?

Happy new year to you all.

Just added the Add to Preferred Sources button to my (news) website.

I am trying to guess if getting it added to preferred sources to google by many people would support SEO and ranking ?

And if yes, hiring microworkers to add it to their preferred sources could boost visibility ?

Does anyone have any idea ?

Preferred sources is mostly personalization, not a ranking lever. It helps users who already interact with your site see you more, but Google isnt gonna globally boost you because 200 microworkers clicked a button. Paying microworkers is more likely to create noisy signals than real trust, better spend that effort on real recurring users + engagement that sticks.

Preferred sources is mostly personalization, not a ranking lever. It helps users who already interact with your site see you more, but Google isnt gonna globally boost you because 200 microworkers clicked a button. Paying microworkers is more likely to create noisy signals than real trust, better spend that effort on real recurring users + engagement that sticks.
