In this guide, I will share my experiences and debunk common myths surrounding Reddit accounts.
Origin of This Guide: This guide was inspired by a Telegram message from someone trying to sell me Reddit accounts supposedly over five years old. He showed me an account and asked how much karma I wanted. I said 100 karma. He offered 1000 or more. "Perfect, let's proceed." An hour later, the account was banned. When I informed him, he said, "Wait, I'll restore it via email" (the account was flagged for suspicious activity and required email verification). This account had 1,200 POST KARMA! Impressive on paper, but can you build an account with Comment Karma that way? No, you can't.
This incident reinforces the theory I've always advocated: do not buy accounts with only post karma (often artificially upvoted). Instead, buy accounts with comment karma, which are far more valuable as they indicate natural, conversational activity. Also, avoid old accounts with massive karma totals—they are typically sold with a pre-assigned email, and you have no idea how many times they've been suspended and reinstated.
My verdict: an account with a temporary/disposable email is often more valuable. Why? If an account linked to a disposable email is flagged for suspicious activity, it usually can't be recovered—which ironically proves it hasn't been repeatedly "cleaned." Manual account creation is undoubtedly the safest route. However, for me, it's never been practical due to time and cost. The Warm-Up Process
There are countless theories here. Here’s my method:- I join an NSFW subreddit.
- On my next visit, I begin replying to existing comments in NSFW subs, posting one comment every 4-5 hours until I have about 10 replies.
At this point, my account is considered "warmed up" and ready for action. I still don't fully understand why, but NSFW subreddits seem to be less aggressively policed by Reddit's initial spam filters.
Proxy, Fingerprint & Cookies
- Proxies: I use rotating residential proxies and switch countries strategically. For example, if I use a European proxy, I'll wait a couple of days before switching to a US-based one, performing a minor warm-up action when I do.
- Fingerprint & Cookies: Wherever possible, I maintain the same browser fingerprint and cookies from the account's creation. This is why I prefer to buy accounts that include their original cookies and fingerprint data. As noted in a previous post, you don't need external cookies; Reddit's own session cookies are sufficient.
