First of all, I apologize for my poor English.

More than a week ago, I created a YouTube channel, I won't mention the niche. I studied my competitors' channels, picked titles, tags, and descriptions. I chose peak hours for my geo and started uploading videos with delayed publication, 3 videos per day.

After a day, I saw 8,000 views, 50 subscribers, a CTR of 12%, and a retention rate of 35%.

I continued to publish videos, and after three days I had 40,000 views and 220 subscribers, with the CTR and retention rate remaining at the same level. But starting on the fourth day, the videos simply stopped being recommended. They literally have 10-20 views, while the old videos continue to gain views, with thousands of views per day.

For the sake of experiment, thinking that this might be some kind of “honeymoon” period from YouTube, I created a second, similar channel with the same content. And the situation repeated itself Thousands of views, retention, CTR, even 200+ subscribers in the first three days. On the fourth day, the new videos simply disappeared from YouTube's recommendations.


Please tell me, is this really something like a honeymoon period, or am I just very unlucky?

The views you got were Youtube testing phase. Since its new channel it doesnt know who will watch, so it sends test views to them and then processes the data.
How many vids you have uploaded?

If you have same thing after 20-30 videos then channel is trash.
Make new one.

I continue to upload videos to the first channel every day. Each new video gets zero views; they are simply not recommended. Every day I upload three videos, so yes, there are already more than 20 of them on the first channel

I think what you need to do is keep sharing your videos after the three day mark on various social media platforms like X, subreddits and Facebook groups, and also on whatsapp messages as well to keep those shares rolling in and traffic incoming after the three days period.

Do not worry about this. You will get all the traffic back again. Just keep posting good content on your channel.

You are worrying about a problem that does not exist. You should not worry about drop on one day. YouTube is a long term game. If you see consistent growth over months or years, that is what matters.
