payment error

My account cannot automatically process payments when the threshold is reached.
Can anyone help me with the answer?
I didn't encounter this error on my Business Manager account. But I've had a few cases with my personal account.

In some accounts, I was able to fix the error after contacting Facebook support to request an investigation. They claimed my account had missed several payments, but I hadn't, so they had to manually remove the payment order.
In others, it was impossible to fix.

I've seen automatic payments fail when accounts are newly created, cards are changed, or there are unusual spending habits. To maintain a stable account, you shouldn't change cards too often and should spend regularly according to Facebook's regulations.
Thanks

it's usually not an account error but a payment setup issue. check whether your card has sufficient balance and whether auto-payments are enabled. many cards block threshold-based payments by default until they're manually approved
Thanks

How many cards have you added?
Have you tried making payments a few times before reaching the threshold to push Meta again?
Give it a try!
I added a new card, tried making a few payment transactions before reaching the threshold, but the next time I reached that threshold, the account still didn't automatically process the payment.

The problem might be with the card or the account. Try changing the payment card associated with your account. If that doesn't work, then try changing the account. I had a similar problem with one of my accounts before; I even had to manually monitor the balance until it reached a certain threshold to make the payment, which was very inconvenient.

I asked a few friends who had a similar problem, and they all said that it was impossible to fix, and they accepted manual payments to that account. If that's inconvenient, you can use a different account. Because I've noticed this problem only occurs with a very small number of accounts.
Thanks

Most of the time, this isn’t an account problem but a payment setup issue. Check that your card has enough funds and that auto-pay is active, since some cards block certain charges by default. Some users couldn’t fix it and switched to manual payments, while others just used a different account. This problem appears to affect only a few accounts.

Accounts are unable to automatically pay the threshold and require manual intervention. This occurs with some accounts, as well as Business Managers (BMs) that have shown unusual activity previously; the meta has flagged and restricted certain account functions. You might consider switching to a new account.

This error commonly occurs on personal accounts. When you have an incorrect payment receipt, the system will restrict automatic functions. You can switch to a new account and keep your payments stable.

Please check your card to see if there is enough money left or if there are any payment restrictions on your card for the day.

My card has sufficient funds and is working perfectly; I think it's an account issue.

This happens a lot, you’re not crazy. When payments don’t auto-process at threshold, it’s usually a trust or billing issue, not a bug. A few things to check:
  • make sure your payment method is fully verified (card + billing address match)
  • avoid switching cards/accounts too often, FB hates that
  • check for any hidden payment holds or “review” notices
  • try manually paying once to reset the cycle (worked for me before)
If the account is new or recently limited, it can take time.
Did this start after any changes on the account?

This error often occurs with new or low-quality accounts due to suspicious payment methods. You should use accounts with short IDs of real users and a spending history, one of the first types of accounts used on the Facebook platform, typically created between 2010 and 2015.

In most cases, this isn’t an account-level issue but a billing setup problem. Make sure your payment method has enough available balance and that automatic payments are enabled. Some cards don’t allow threshold-based charges by default and may require manual approval from the bank before they work properly.

Some of the most common reasons (applicable to many platforms):
Card not enabled for international/online payments
Bank blocking recurring or international transactions
Card expired, insufficient funds, or exceeded spending limit
New promotional account → spending limit imposed
Matching payment information (name, country, address)
System requires additional verification (KYC, card confirmation)

Automatic payment issues often happen on newer accounts, after payment method changes, or when spending patterns suddenly change. To keep the account stable, it’s best to use a consistent payment method, avoid frequent changes, and maintain steady spending that aligns with Facebook’s billing policies.

When I asked a few acquaintances who were experiencing a similar issue, they all agreed that it was unfixable and that manual payments could be made to that account. You can use a separate account if that is inconvenient. Because I've found that this issue only affects a very tiny percentage of accounts.
