How Do You Decide Which Crypto to Hold?

In the long term, I consider originality, technology, team/community, and real adoptability to be the most important when choosing a crypto.

Most people choose bitcoin :) You may make a difersified portofolio

BTC, ETH, BNB ve SOL'ü içeren bir portföy oluşturarak çeşitlendirme yapabilirsiniz; bu en güvenli seçenektir.

I just buy bitcoin every month 100£ every month and keep going until I die. So you reduce the risk. It's not worth investing in other crypto, they all depend on btc, unless you want to do high risk speculation that's the safest way to go.

I agree on diversification yes, but not with other cryptos. but with completely different assets like lithium, silver, etc.. or companies

I would like to know what aspects you personally consider most important when deciding which cryptocurrencies to hold for the long term
you should look for international on going and upcoming events. like new year is coming so maybe the pricing will go up(not advicing anyone to purchase)

Devam eden ve yaklaşan uluslararası etkinliklere bakmalısınız. Örneğin, yılbaşı yaklaşıyor, bu yüzden fiyatlar artabilir (kimseye satın almasını tavsiye etmiyorum).
Bu bir yatırım tavsiyesi değildir :D

I look for projects which can bring anything useful and unique to the table.

A fascinating point, short term movement appears to be influenced by events and market mood, but when it comes to long term holding, do you primarily consider timing around events or do you also consider fundamentals like adoption or development activity?

I appreciate you sharing, it does appear to be a safer strategy to diversify with large coins. Do you keep the portfolio substantially unchanged or do you periodically rebalance it?

To be honest, holding long-term is risky because the crypto market is highly manipulated and many coins eventually go to zero regardless of their tech.

Long term holds for projects with real adoption and strong development activity tend to work better for me.

I choose coins that have strong technology and solid plans for the future. For now I usually keep two safe coins like ETH and BTC. I also hold one medium risk coin such as Solana and one high risk coin for short term trading. I regularly add a fixed amount to these coins every month.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) are considered among the safest digital assets, though they typically offer lower returns. If you aim for higher potential profits, this generally involves taking on greater risk. When considering altcoins, it is essential to evaluate their use cases, review the whitepaper, and assess the credibility and utility of the underlying project or company.

The first thing I look at is whether the project actually solves a real problem or has a clear use case beyond speculation.
Then I check who’s building it and if development is active. A strong team and consistent updates matter way more to me than flashy marketing. Tokenomics is another big one, supply, emissions, unlocks. If inflation is crazy, long term holding rarely works out.

I also pay attention to liquidity and adoption. Is it actually being used? Are people building on it? Can institutions realistically touch it?
Finally, I think about survivability. Will this project still be relevant in 5–10 years, especially under tighter regulation.

Strong fundamentals, real use cases, active development, long-term vision, and good token economics matter most to me—price hype alone isn’t enough for long-term holding.

BTC, ETH, SOLALA, and BNB are low-risk investments but offer low returns; it's difficult to double or triple your account. Altcoins, on the other hand, offer high returns but carry significant risk. I invested in Pi Network and lost 60% of my capital.
