The thing is, I want to run ads from a new Instagram account, and now it seems I need to add a Facebook account in order to boost them.

By using a service from an agency, will I be able to avoid having to do this? I don't really understand how to proceed.

Instagram ads always go through facebook. Agencies can manage campaigns but a Business account is still needed behind the scenes.

Even when an agency runs the ads, meta still needs a business layer to anchor everything. What agencies usually provide is the setup and access, not a way around the system itself.

Post this in the "Hire a Freelancer" section. Someone that knows about Meta ads can help you from there.

Meta is continuously updating its ad policies to make advertising safer and more trackable day by day. If you want to boost a post or run Instagram ads, you still need a proper Meta ad account, which can only be created through a Facebook profile and a Facebook Page.

Actually Using an agency can work if they’re running the ads from their own Business Manager and ad account, then just giving your Instagram access. In that case, you don’t need to set up or use your own Facebook ad account at all.

The other option is doing it under your own Business Manager so you fully own everything longterm, but that does mean linking a Facebook profile.

If you want, I can help you figure out which setup fits your situation best and how to avoid getting restricted again.
