Backlinks alone wont help serps. Traffic yes but serps no.

What you said, it's not true, the opposite is:
Backlinks will help SERP-s, and make your site rank, they will not give you traffic!

Ask everyone in this forum, the gurus,newbies,etc... everyone is going to say(not BS but BASED on experience) you NEED BACKLINKS to rank on Google, not traffic!

So your method seems a little misleading to me, and I'm not saying you're lying, but the only way to achieve ranking without backlinks is with good on-site SEO and weak competition COMBINED together, so I guess your keywords don't have competition right?

1.In exact match, what's your average Global Searches and Competition of your keywords?
2.And you only built 1 site to rank for hundreds of keywords or multiple sites?
3.Currently, for how many keywords your sites achieves rankings in 1st page of G.?

While the OP is saying that "Backlinks don't count" I think people are misinterpreting him.

He's building an authority site with traffic comming from social media. As he is writing all the content himself, i'm guessing his site actually doesn't suck, so people who visit it are probably enjoying the content provided, thus it is generating backlinks on its own.

i believe what he's trying to say is that if you build an authority site and focus on making it badass, (and perhaps with a bit of luck too), people will enjoy your content and create your backlinks for you... like how it's "meant to happen naturally"

Have you ever had an xrumer blast in the 100's of 1000's range? If you have you may have receeived spikes of traffic but the actually links may have not done anything for serps. Tons and tons of backlinks dont automatically equal good rankings but they can equal traffic if done in a high enough volume.

I think people are focussing on backlinks too much in this day an age. If you want good backlinks that count for serps your going to have to accesss good high PR sites. This is not easy. For me its easier to focus on the keywords and content (staying white hat).

As for your questions....

1.In exact match, what's your average Global Searches and Competition of your keywords?

some are high some are low. remember if you have read my original post my list was in the several thousands before I filtered it into a 2nd list of keywords that have only grown in google trends. this list ended up being much smaller.




2.And you only built 1 site to rank for hundreds of keywords or multiple sites?

1 site with over a hundred posts as of now plus dozens of social networking accounts where I use keywords that havent made it into my site yet and some that are.




3.Currently, for how many keywords your sites achieves rankings in 1st page of G.

This is a good question and I have actually been going through my keyword list one by one (very time consuming) to see. My domain is is also a keyword that I rank number 1 for (below 1 sponsored result) this word alone gets 167K searches a month. so far many of my keywords are on the first page of google not always number one but somewhere on the first page.



appreciate the questions but I think some people might be missing the bread and butter of this method.

it all starts with a big keyword list and google trends. the bulk of your time will be spent categorizing your keywords before you even have a site up.

I like the way you think, and y'all need to realize that this method is a true guide in developing out an authority site. I've got several where most of my traffic and backlinks are coming from message forum posts, usenet/yahoo groups discussing several pieces of content found on my sites. It's not terribly hard to orchestrate, it's just a little more time consuming given the blackhat way of "i need it now and i'll do anything to automate it".

Content will, and always remain, king. So if you're focusing on trend data and positioning your content on the site to scale with it, you're good to go assuming you've got the content production needed

I really like your method of getting results. You are doing it naturally and not just blasting the heck out of your sites. This is motivation for me to get back to a blog I know I could really expand if I spend some time on it.

I think you're wrong again, yes I've had blasts with Xrumer in more ranges that you mentioned, what I see was my site jumped up in the SERP-s, of course they give you traffic, but the main purpose of backlinks is ranking, for e.x. let's take Scrapebox, if you get backlinks through blogs, then I'm sure you'll get little traffic, but a lot of backlinks, you just need to index them and you'll rank higher on SERP-s(of course on ranking, there are other factors in play such as on-site SEO,keyword in domain,etc...)

Yup, keywords are one of the most important things. I also think you've been gaining rankigns and SE love due to the age of your website and it getting traffic which is something I think a lot of people forget are important. Google doesn't just care about backlinks... if people click and stay on your site and your website ages you do actually go up the SERP.

I'm a bit suprised that you seemed to have done so few backlinks though to reach so mucht raffic. but with so many keywords you probably targetted SO MANY low competition/search KW that eventually they all add up and rank without more than 1-5 backlink from your social media pages huh?

Oh and when you mean "add keywords from your hot list every month" you mean your new posts for the month will be focused on targetting these new keywords right?

You will need a certain level of incoming links for sure ... and not just to your top level domain name. With no authority at all you will have a hard time of getting deep indexed.

yes exactly. In fact, to further clarify put the keyword with the most trend growth in the title of the post itself.

100 per post/article. sometimes more in larger posts.

your page will most likely be indexed from the social networking traffic you send it in the beginning.

My posts are usually 500+ words sometimes 1000+. You want a alot of content so that your keywords fit naturally in. Keyword stuffing is a big no no.

the bigger the post the better because you have more to work with.

the longest has been a little over an hour but it was big. typcally 20-30 minutes per post. I shoot for quality. Many times im rewriting but occasionaly I create an original post (the niche is something Im interested in). Dont put giberish in. You want people to read the posts and understand them.

after keword list building and social networking, writing articles will be the bulk of your work.
