Hello everyone, As I learn more about dropshipping and wholesale company models, I'd like to know what factors most people take into account before beginning. I'm only interested in general guidance, typical problems, and lessons learnt from experience; I'm not searching for suppliers or advertising any services. I appreciate you sharing.

Most people focus on product–market fit, margins after ads and fees, and whether the model is scalable long term. Common issues are supplier reliability, cash flow, chargebacks/returns, and ad costs rising faster than expected.

A big lesson is to validate demand first, start small, and expect a learning curve before things become consistent.

Before starting, most people focus on setting realistic expectations. Dropshipping and wholesale can work, but they’re competitive and usually take time to see results. Common challenges include thin margins, supplier reliability, customer support, and staying compliant with platform rules. Many lessons come from hands-on experience, so starting small, testing carefully, and treating it like a real business tends to lead to better long-term outcomes.
