I have a very good Website/Domain and wanna use the same Instagram account like the domain name, but another guy have registered it in 2020 and is not active anymore.
How big is the chance, that Instagram will give me the account?

I suggest you revise it again.Honestly, the chances are very low. Instagram almost never releases inactive usernames unless there is a clear trademark and legal claim behind it. Just owning the domain usually is not enough. Most people either add a small modifier to the name or try to buy it directly from the current owner if they can contact them.

Contact the meta support team and show them that you have a domain that is already registered. From there, they will reach out to the account holder and if no response, they might let you take the name. However; make sure you have everything verified.

Instagram only gives inactive names in rare cases usually if you can prove a trademark. Otherwise you’ll probably need a slight variation.

You might try reaching out politely to the current account owner sometimes a friendly message can work or otherwise consider adding a small modifier to match your brand closely.

Sometimes monitoring the account for activity over time helps if it remains inactive, reporting a trademark issue might be your only chance to claim it.

Don’t waste time. Try to figure out who is behind this Instagram account and contact them to discuss a purchase... Sometimes basic reverse engineering gives you all infos.

Even if the account hasn’t been active for years, Instagram rarely gives usernames to others, so your chances are low.
