elevenlabs is decent for single high-converting landing pages but the credit burn is real if ur running a mass-gen tube fleet .. we moved away from it last year for our automated projects
now we strictly use Fish-Speech or GPT-SoVITS running on private pods . it takes some dev time to set up but the cost per hour of audio is basically zero once u own the hardware . the output is indistinguishable from the top-tier paid apis anyway
pro tip based on our recent deindexing wavestop uploading raw tts files . youtube and tiktok algorithms are definitely clustering accounts based on the harmonic signatures of popular ai voices . i wrote a small ffmpeg script to add a 1% layer of room-noise and shift the pitch by a few cents on every export .. since we started doing that , the account survival rate for our shorts farms went up significantly
if u stick to the public web tools u r basically inviting a manual review once u scale

@visual524 why'd you switch to 11labs?

The main reason is quality of sound and features sound is more fluid less robotic and so much character options. It also has a very good features of generating voices. You can make your voice much better and more realistic.

burned through $500 on 11labs credits in two weeks before i realized my shorts were getting shadowbanned for using that same overused adam voice. absolute nightmare. ended up setting up a local rig on a dusty rtx card i had in the closet. it’s janky as hell and the ui is a mess but at least i’m not lighting money on fire anymore. scaling with the mainstream apis is a total trap if u dont mask the audio signature.
