It’s been some time since Threads became popular. I see that many businesses are moving there and actively interacting with other users. At the same time, I see people who can barely get 10 likes on threads that clearly took a lot of effort. What do you think about this social network? Do you see potential in it?

I think it's a smart marketing move, expanding area for Meta to grow in. Personally I don't see a lot of added value for a normal human being.
How far is it going to go? Will we have to register to tens of social platforms in a few years? I remember it was just facebook, lol.

I think Threads definitely has potential, but it’s still a bit messy. Some posts get great reach, others barely move, even with effort. It seems to work best for casual thoughts and real conversations, not over-polished posts. I’d say it’s worth using, just with low expectations for now

I think Threads still have potential, but they're not suitable for everyone. Accounts that interact early, talk a lot, and comment back and forth will do well, while those who just post carefully without interacting will have a hard time reaching their target audience. Threads are more about building a community than creating pure content

Although Threads has potential, marketers that approach it as a community rather than a broadcast channel typically succeed; at the moment, reach prefers early adopters and regular conversational participation over polished posts.

Thread was just a smart marketing way to outshine x but never did
Gained millions of users but dormant users
Not a place I would bet on

Threads is good, however when you post the same image across multiple accounts, you would need to make sure to change the hash and meta data since most users have multiple profiles to help use threads and get more views that way.

The potential in Threads lies in its 'low-friction' engagement; unlike Instagram, it favors raw, text-based conversation over polished aesthetics. Many businesses struggle with low likes because they treat it like a broadcasting tool rather than a community hub. In my experience, the highest growth comes from a 'reply-first' strategy—spending 70% of your time replying to trending threads in your niche rather than just posting into a void. If you can master the 'personality-led' content style, the profile-visit conversion rate can be significantly higher than on X or LinkedIn.

Threads has huge potential because it's Instagram's answer to Twitter, leveraging its massive user base for casual, text-based engagement, but success requires a conversational, community-focused approach rather than polished branding, as the algorithm currently rewards rapid-fire replies and genuine interaction over high-production posts.

I don't think you have to change the metadata on pictures to pull views on Threads, I have been posting the same pics over and over again, even videos - and still pull views

You can build a good following since it’s less crowded than IG or X. But reach still isn’t consistent some posts take off, others barely get engagement even if they’re quality.

For example, I don’t like it when brands post “provocative” content just to chase views. There’s already enough garbage in feeds as it is — I want to buy a product, not be dragged into a scandal

threads is owned by meta, if you have 100m budget to run meta ads and the best ad buyers in the world, and a good product, you can generate multiple 100ms in revenue.
if you know how to crush threads, META gives you acess to the biggest base of social media users in the world, BILLIONS of people, because meta is co owned by thegoat ZUCK, and ZUCK almost never fails ( besides the metaverse )
he will funnel IG and FB users to threads, to compete with X
I did multiple 6 figs from threads, grew IG acounts, snap profiles, telegram groups and channels,
Thats my personal experience, and opinion, i did focus more on it 2024, and engagement was higher then.
BUT its still a gem imo

Instagram thread app is interesting with uploading good picture content with trending hashtags (it work best in thread app) to gain trending on hash pages for interactions and followers.

Sp good reach with ads? Better than IG/FB or cheaper?

i never did paid threads ads, i did multiple 6 figs from threads organic and reached high views on multiple acounts, i also used threads to grow IG profiles, and SNAP. id say its a legit platform for most niches, easier than IG no visual content needed, so more scalable, and easier than tiktok, no need of a video edit that has to go virall, just good copy writing, or copying!
