I read Telegram threads here questioning what`s the best proxy for Telegram
We know that residential and mobile proxies are on the top list

But, what`s about socks5 & ipv4 private proxies
Which is better between them to be used for Telegram automation actions like joining groups, inviting channel members, etc

A SOCKS5 mobile proxy is one of the best choices for Telegram automation actually.
 
I worked on both residential and mobile proxies and didn't see any difference.

i know that i will set every action to what human does where everything will be like normal
 
SOCKS5 is just a protocol, instead of parsing HTTP requests and proxying them with biased logic it tunnels data back and forth transparently, this gave it a more "anonymous" reputation over the years as the software used to make HTTP proxies messed up headers (order was off, new ones were added in, etc...) and other critical variables in getting detected.

IPv4 is also a protocol and is usually better (strictly "going under the radar" speaking), especially when paired with mobile networks as it's more "forgiven" by detection backends (look into CGNAT).

IP reputation on databases (e.g. maxmind) matters immensely.

Long story short, mobile tends to be the best at a cost, static residential from a good provider is the second best.

Yes, SOCKS5 proxies are ideal for working with Telegram accounts. These proxies can also be IPv4, but that's not the point.

The main requirement for proxies when working with Telegram is that they must be residential (provider-owned), not owned by a data center. This is the main requirement.

Whether proxy rotation is necessary is a personal decision and depends on what you do in Telegram and how many accounts you work with.

I usually use multiple SOCKS5 proxies without rotation for long-term use. Constantly changing IP addresses for the same account is unnecessary.
 
for telegram automation specifically SOCKS5 is the way to go since telegram natively supports SOCKS5 in its client settings.

ipv4 private proxies can work too but you'd need to route traffic through them at the system level which adds complexity. the bigger question is what type of ip sits behind that SOCKS5 connection. mobile SOCKS5 is best for telegram because the ips look like normal phone users.

datacenter SOCKS5 will get flagged faster especially for mass actions like group invites.

SOCKS5 is significantly better and safer for Telegram than regular IPv4 private proxies.
 
Protocol doesn't matter, Telegram doesn't care if you tunnel through Socks5 or HTTP — both use TCP and TG sees the exit IP either way. What matters is the IP quality and whether it's been used for spam. Mobile proxies for action-heavy bots, ISP/residential for long-lived accounts. Datacenter IPv4 will get your account limited within days regardless of protocol.
 
Telegram doesn’t care. Telegram is one of the social apps that people actually use on both web and mobile. There web app is pretty great.

What matters though is how much you are spamming them, so you’ll need other forms of distribution and to monitor your rate in actions
