The problem is with the advertising campaign. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm using gambling ads. It's puzzling that since the beginning of December, my campaigns haven't been performing well. I've tried improving them with various tips and tricks. Is the problem with my account? Or is the issue with my gambling campaigns being flagged?

Your results dropping in December is likely due to seasonal algorithm shifts and stricter gambling ad reviews, so focus on refreshing creatives, warming up the account with safer content, and gradually reintroducing your gambling ads.

It’s unlikely your account is the issue—December usually brings higher ad costs and stricter delivery for gambling-related categories.
Check that your campaigns still meet each platform’s updated gambling-ad eligibility and compliance requirements, since even minor policy shifts can reduce reach.

Try pausing the underperforming gambling ads, run clean engagement-building campaigns for a few days, and then relaunch your gambling ads slowly to see if the algorithm recalibrates.

Performance drops in early December are often related to algorithms tightening restrictions on sensitive areas, especially betting. You should review your creative risk levels, reduce the number of ads running simultaneously, and try resetting the signals with safer content to see if your account recovers its distribution.

Because Facebook's algorithm is cracking down on Blacklisted products, you need to launch a new campaign and use effective cloaking to stabilize it.

The issue is likely with your gambling campaigns being flagged rather than your account itself Even a healthy account can see poor performance if ads are restricted or under review

Gambling can be tough, especially late in the year. A lot of platforms tighten up around the holidays or year-end. It's common for campaign performance to dip.

so it might just be a drop in performance for other reasons, like competition or changes in audience behavior. Have you checked for any updates or restrictions on your account?

Gambling ads get stricter every few months, so drops like this usually happen platform-wide. Might not be your account — often it’s new policy filters or tighter review.

I think the problem is not with your account. Due to recent algorithm changes by Meta, sensitive niches are facing tighter restrictions. You can try changing your content to 'clean' campaigns for about a week, and then slowly go back to running your main campaign.

If your ad creative has been active for a month, you should change it to a new one so that the meta can push more conversions for you. They always want users to be creative and produce more products for their platform

I don't think the problem lies with your account. Because Meta's algorithm wants you to be creative and produce more products, you should switch to a new ad to optimize metrics and boost conversions.

It's not just your account – This is the December seasonal + policy wave.

Since the beginning of December, Meta has been running a series of:

A. Policy tightening wave (periodic policy tightening)

Meta usually tightens heavily in late November → early December because Q4 is the peak commercial advertising season (Black Friday, Christmas).

When tightening, the system:

Reduces reach for "risky" ads (gambling, finance, sweepstakes…)

Adds a "soft shadow ban" → ads are still approved but not delivered or delivered extremely poorly.

Changes the risk score algorithm ⇒ many campaigns are implicitly flagged.

Symptoms 100% similar to your case:

Unusual increase in CPM

Spend not pushing

Sharp drop in CTR

Ads not dying but ineffective

Meta's algorithm is becoming increasingly strict, so you need to adapt and optimize your campaigns to comply with Facebook's changes.

I think it stems from your low-quality customer base; please review your detailed targeting settings

It's likely that the CPM increased by the end of the year, and I also noticed that advertising became more expensive.

Performance declines are quite common in December due to increased competition and higher bidding costs. Many advertisers across various sectors are experiencing inconsistent results, not just in the gambling industry. This doesn't always mean your account will be flagged, but sometimes it's just seasonal pressure.

I'm experiencing the same issue, most likely due to Meta tightening its betting content regulations, especially during peak periods at the end of the year.

Keep your setup clean, update your creatives regularly, and watch for any official warning signs. If there aren't any, it's likely platform swing, not your fault.
