Drip feed is massively underused by most people ordering from SMM panels. I've been A/B testing drip vs instant delivery and the difference in retention and account safety is significant.
Here's what I did:
Account A: Ordered 2,000 followers, instant delivery
Account B: Ordered 2,000 followers, drip feed over 10 days (200/day)
Both from the same panel, same service, same price.
Results after 30 days:
- Account A: ~1,100 remaining (45% drop), got a temporary action block on day 3 (couldn't like or follow for 24h)
- Account B: ~1,500 remaining (25% drop), no restrictions at any point
The drip-fed account also had better engagement rates on subsequent organic posts, probably because Instagram's algorithm didn't flag the growth pattern as suspicious.
My current approach for client accounts:
- Never order more than 500/day for followers
- Likes get drip fed to match posting schedule (likes arrive 2-6 hours after the post goes live, not instantly)
- Mix services from 2 providers to avoid pattern detection
The extra planning is worth it. Clients don't care about speed — they care about the number staying. A slow delivery that sticks beats a fast one that drops by 50% in a week.
Does anyone else structure their drip feed this way or am I overcomplicating it?
