It makes sense, Do you employ automatic inventory sync solutions with your suppliers, or do you mostly rely on agents for updates?that s very simple actually, it s very important since beginning to get a pro suppliers to avoid that kind of problems, if u not dealing with factory supplier directly ,then with a good agent, he can manage that with their cashflow and contacts and keep stocks alwys ready to ship, it s not a big deal for them, as will make agreement with factory (always have tones of product stock ready) and they can get stocks to their warehouse from it in a day or two than ship to u.
That's good, I've heard positive things about Odoo but have never used it. Does syncing work well with the free version, or did you need further configuration to make it dependable for dropshipping? In my case, I use Odoo for inventory and order management. It's a fairly comprehensive tool, and the best part is that it has a free, open-source version. With it, you can synchronize your inventory and avoid selling out-of-stock products, even if you work with dropshipping.
Most people I’ve seen solve this by automating stock sync through their supplier feeds or using real-time inventory APIs when available. When that’s not possible, regular stock checks and keeping a buffer of ‘safe-selling’ products helps reduce overselling issues.Even with dropshipping, stock levels matter. How do you stay updated on your supplier’s inventory to avoid selling products that are out of stock?
