Spam accounts that slip through cracks

This has been going on for ages; some accounts slip through cracks, and I understand that the team can't catch them all.

But what bothers me is that I happen to believe that nobody really checks these Jr.VIP accounts when they pay for their membership... It's one thing if spam accounts slip through, but it's completely different when you grant them Jr.VIP privileges and approve their sales threads immediately when the spam has reached 100 posts.

There needs to be a manual approval or at least some sort of manual review when the first sales thread of such accounts is going live. I can see spammers getting their threads approved, mods focus on what is being offered in the BST but not in the history of the account (which some years ago was a thing, at least, mods claimed to do that)... Right now, it seems like when a lucky spammer reaches 100 posts and quickly buys the Jr.VIP, then it's a sealed deal... At that point, the posts won't get removed, let alone the Jr.VIP taken away.

All sales threads are put through the same rigorous process. And as a seller yourself, you will know how detailed that process is.

This already happens. This process is not automated.

Both things are taken into consideration.

We have downgraded members just this week, so this is not true.

For transparency, a small edit has been made to the previous post. We don't want to give away all our secrets, but rest assured, we've got it covered, and I know @SettingSun77 doesn't mind because he's ace.

Phew....if only you knew the hours that staff put into this. This results in actions that aren't necessarily visible, and neither should they be. You'll just have to trust us.

You're right - we won't. Additionally, we may not catch them at the exact time you want us to. But, we're 100% happy to keep working at it, because we know how it benefits the forum. So, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, hit Report (you can't deny we're always welcoming its use) or you can Contact Support if you think anything has slipped through the cracks.
