Indeed, I will be celebrating my tenth year here in just a week. That's a decade of greatness.

Ok, let's go back to the main topic. Recently, I've been working on LLM traffic for a niche project, and this has tremendously improved our conversion rate by 10x in the last couple of months, indicating growth. It is truly a gold mine for conversions. Most majority users go ahead to buy tracking their user journey.

No super upsell or fancy lander.
If this gets more attention, I'm sure happy to create a detailed guide on what we've been doing to achieve this result.

On the other side, If you are looking at getting into LLM , I expect you to set up these basics for your website by now.

A citation in this sense is vastly different than search engine traffic.

Gotcha. But most of LLMs don't crawl web themselves when giving citations. They just use google search and give best result from there – same as humans do. So citations are in the end same traffic from Google, just multiplied by popularity of LLMs.

A saw that you recommend using llms.txt, but even those LLMs who crawl (Perplexity) use just normal robots.txt and sitemap.xml. No major LLM-powered search engine has confirmed support for llms.txt so far.

This is just your opinion it’s not a reality. You don’t know because you didn’t mention the fact that the big LLMs are using api with multiple services like Reddit. You don’t work for or engineer any of these LLMs. You can just say you don’t know if you don’t know instead of hallucinating facts.
