Hi BHW,

Im working to run a test campaign with Reddit Ads for my dropshipping business, mainly focusing on fashion (that’s my specialty). I want to get it right, so I’m looking for advice from anyone who’s used Reddit Ads before:

  • How should I design the creatives to catch attention but not get ignored?
  • Should I focus on images, memes, videos, or what do u think?
  • Any tips on targeting subreddits that actually convert?
  • Is fashion dropshipping or dropshipping generally even a good fit for Reddit!

Thanks!!

The more native your ads are, the more conversions you will get.
make good research, adapt your creatives to the most active sub`s format and launch a/b test

I feel Reddit ads can work for fashion dropshipping, but only if the visuals are simple and you target subreddits where people already care about style.

Use native-looking creatives, not polished ads. Test simple images or light meme-style posts. Target niche fashion subs where the product feels natural. Reddit can work, but only if the item fits the subculture.

Just like you, not long ago, I was thinking of running reddit ads (they were offering $100 bonus). Did my research and came to a conclusion that it's much cheaper and more profitable to run your own sub and/or post rarely good content so it gets more views that all those ads.

ROI, read some reviews about reddit ads and came to a conclusion that people click as a lot of them don't realise it's an ad.
Did some number crunching and came to a conclusion that I didn't want to try them.
I have a few subs, where my posts can get thousands of views every day for free.... so ads were a "no go" for me.

Creatives should feel authentic redditors spot obvious ads instantly. Short videos or clear images that tell a story usually perform better than memes. Niche, active subreddits convert more than big general ones.

To create effective Reddit Ads for your fashion dropshipping business, design eye-catching creatives that feature high-quality images or videos showcasing products in relatable contexts, as Reddit users typically respond well to authentic visuals rather than overly polished content.

For reddit, the key is subtlety use lifestyle visuals, relatable captions and target highly active niche subreddits where users actually care about fashion, rather than blasting broad ads.

This is very interesting idea. So you created your own sub and you create posts. Let's say you sell meal prep containers... is your sub about meal prep containers or is it about, for example, meal prep recipes where you subtly push your own products?

Also I wonder how many orders do you get per 1000 views?

Ads work best when they just look like regular posts addressing real world issues. Anything else tends not to do good on Reddit. This is a crowd that hates ads with a passion

Both subs are in my niche... so i can actually post anything there as it'll be relevant. In my niche, reddit is definitely not the best place for traffic but I try to spend 5-15 mins a day on all my social media so a few minutes on reddit won't hurt me but potentially can bring something.
How many orders per 1000 views? It's impossible to answer it as it really depends on your niche and many other things.

I really understand you buddy, that's great ideas to make things happen in dropshipping business, but first you need to detect your store about so they won't be the problem for customers ,who orders from your store, then to guide you through the step, to make things happen in this dropshipping business, hope you're mainly on telegram or WhatsApp?
