Reels getting flagged 'Limited Reach' even after re-encoding. What's the trigger?

I run a fast-growing meme page (~550k views/month).
Lately IG started marking some reels as ‘Limited Reach’.

I’m NOT getting copyright strikes, no violations, account status is clean.
Videos are fully re-encoded through FFmpeg (new file, new metadata, safe resolution, safe audio).
Captions are clean now too.

I post 5–7 reels a day, spaced by 1–2 hours.
Still, sometimes IG flags 1 reel at random and kills reach.

Has anyone here cracked the pattern of what triggers this?
Is it posting frequency, trust score, or something else?

It's likely behavioral: your high posting frequency (5-7/day) is triggering spam filters, not the content itself. The algorithm flags the activity pattern as inorganic.

Will a 24h break reset the Velocity Check?

From what I’ve noticed, IG sometimes limits reach based on patterns, not violations. Even clean reels can get flagged if posting frequency is high or engagement looks uneven. It feels more like a trust score thing than anything else. Curious to see what others have noticed too.

I have missed a few things to add on my post:
- my account has been made in 2022 but I started posting on it 8 days ago
- at the beginning i was posting about 12 reels a day but as time went on I started slowing down to 6-8
- 3 to 4 days in I have remarked in Account status that I had limited reach in non-following audience but when I was removing a post the restriction would be lifted
- about 10 posts flagged but if i was deleting one the restriction would lift itself and I could go on posting
- as more days passed it had gotten so bad that almost every video I posted became flagged and I had to delete something
- I took in consideration that maybe my title/description was faulty because here it was my template:
"Follow @username for more

*block of chinese*"

- I also noticed that now if I post something there is a 50/50 chance of it getting flagged or not even though I run it through ffmpeg and modify every single aspect about it
- I have stopped using the chinese SEO bypass because i believed maybe it was the problem but I still got flagged on my posts.
- Last 2 reels from yesterday and today have started only on feed, the one from today didn't even got more than 50 views and I average around 1k

I came to the cloncusion that I got marked as a spamming account and now I'm taking a 24 hour break from it to recalibrate my trust scoring and whatever there is to add

No, a 24h break won't fully reset it. Permanently reduce your posting frequency to 2-3 reels per day.
I will reduce it but I will also commit to this break. Also, after a while of building trust score can i rise the frequency? Thanks for the advice!

Sounds like ınstagrams algorithm is just being picky. Even clean content can get limited reach if its too frequent, too similar or triggers spam like patterns. Spacing posts, mixing formats keeping engagement natural usually helps.

I’ve seen this happen when pages post too frequently or reuse meme formats too often. IG’s system is sensitive to patterns. Try reducing volume briefly and varying style to reset trust.

It's not really about copyright or captions, but more likely related to posting frequency and trust score. When you post many reels in a row, it looks like spam

should i do a 24 hr break or a 48 hr?
Yes, a 24-48 hour break can help reset the velocity filter. After the break, gradually scale back up to 3-4 reels per day to maintain a more organic-looking activity pattern.
Thank you a lot! Tomorrow I will be finally able to post, hope it's gonna work things out.
