Big sites skip ads to keep users happy and earn via sponsorships,

products

Yes, sponsored posts could also be source of good revenue if someone is getting good traffic on the blog. They probably make money through affiliate links or sponsored content instead of display ads.
What type of partnerships ? Like even for a big forum like BHW, I do not come across them promoting anything from such a partner.Big websites have mostly sponsors, make money from partnerships or from their products. If a website make ads many people are annoyed and leave faster.
Yes, I.am also seeing some big youtube channels doing this same thing. They removed google ads from the channel and earning only through sponsosrships.a lot of big sites skip ads because their main goal isn’t ad revenue. they usually make money through things like subscriptions, products, services, data, or brand partnerships, and ads can actually hurt their brand image and user experience. clean websites load faster, look more trustworthy, and convert better, especially for high-value audiences. for them, one customer or client can be worth way more than what display ads would ever pay, so they focus on building authority and long-term trust instead of quick ad money.
They capture leads or they have affiliate links on their sites. Without monetization it's impossible to run websites. They have blog posts linking to buyers guides and money pages. They have different statergy then display ads. That's why you don't see ads. While browsing Google, I often come across many big websites that do not have any single ad on their website. They have very good content and also presentation on website. If they are spending so much on the website, why are they not putting ads on the website ?

Bogus network ads can make site slow but that is never problem with a trusted network like Adsense.some bigger sites choose not to run ads because they want the experience to feel clean and trustworthy. ads can make pages load slower or feel a bit cluttered and that doesn’t always match the image they are going for. a lot of them earn in quieter ways like offering services, selling products or using the site to build authority for their brand. for them, ads just aren’t the main goal
May be they are too big and thus have other possible income sources. For small blogs, it night not be possible to survive without ads.Bear Blog, Neocities, GitHub Pages, and Substack are simple blog platforms with no ads.
