Are there any grey/black hat methods that will help a new website gets featured in Google News.

And same question for Google Discover.

Already following the white hat basics (for news : news sitemap and schema NewsArticle with sources and author box. For Discover : large images, curiosity driven titles....

Grey-hat shortcuts exist, but the real push comes from authority signals, fast syndication, brand mentions, and getting indexed on trusted news aggregators. Once Google senses credibility + activity spikes, both News and Discover start opening the door much quicker than pure on-page tweaks alone.

True, also Reddit helps, if your site gets viral there you will get on Google discovery

How about doing a search on Google News on your specific niche topic or keyword, see what comes up first, then create content (say 2-3 articles) that matches or surpasses that. Publish one of them to your site/platform, the other to a Google News approved domain as a guest post that links to your main page. A by-design newsworthy posting on a GNA site will likely get indexed fast, since it's on a site Google already indexes. After indexing it can be posted on Google Discovery, to accelerate its exposure.

A young site can only get there through black hat methods And of course they exist, but writing about most of them is prohibited on BHW

Isn't it the place we should talk about it ?

Anyways what you say is not fully true as I just checked and my site is already indexed in Google news (2 articles). Only got 2 impressions yesterday but as a brand new site I am very happy. Hopefully it stays and works as I expect.

I would avoid black hat methods because they usually create short term gains and long term risks. For Google News and Discover consistent quality content proper technical setup and user focused writing are the safest and most reliable ways to grow visibility
