Is it just me or do social media sites seem a little monotonous this year? Even with continuous material, it seems more difficult to attract new audiences because algorithms continue to promote the same kinds of postings. I'm curious whether anyone else has similar platform fatigue and how you manage to continue being creative in spite of it.

era of clean design made everything look the same. i usually find inspiration in dribble or behance and try to generate something similar with json promts

Algorithms only promote what a certain people will likely accepts
There are generalls but then, certain content seems to perform well in certain climes
The algorithms only works according to what it has trained on over time which is commonly accepted and received greater viewership

The companies must make money
And those that controls the eyes are the ones that make the money

I've seen statistics showing that the social media content consumption index has decreased for the first time in years. Everyone is tired of it, so we just have to wait and see what happens next)

That’s not just you, a lot of people feel that same social-media monotony, and the best way to push through is to hit pause when you need to, lean into more authentic, community-driven storytelling, and mix up your formats (like UGC, interactive posts, or batch-produced content) so you aren’t always chasing the algorithm but instead building something that’s real and sustainable
In fact, that makes a lot of sense. I believe I've been concentrating too much on the algorithm and not enough on trying out various formats or simply producing more sincere, community-focused material. Instead of sticking to the same style every time, I might try changing things up a little. Do you want it to be more casual or shorter?

You raise an excellent point: in the end, algorithms are determined by what users regularly interact with, and platforms undoubtedly favor content that retains users' attention the longest. When the popular formats don't fit the type of material you're attempting to produce, it might be challenging. Finding a balance between authenticity and what the algorithm truly appreciates is, I suppose, the current difficulty. Do you want it to be even shorter?

Yeah, it’s not just you a lot of platforms feel repetitive lately.
Algorithms keep pushing the same styles, so growth feels slower.
I deal with it by testing new formats and mixing in trends, but also taking breaks to avoid burnout.
Creativity comes back when you’re not forcing it.

Platforms seem to be blending together in terms of trends, same recycled sounds, same engagement bait. Algorithms seem to reward repetition more.

I completely understand that! It’s like the algorithms have a favorite playlist and keep looping it. I've discovered that taking a step back and playing with formats that I wouldn't often try frequently inspires fresh ideas. Which recent format or trend did you try that truly caught you off guard?

Just that! Everything seems to be repeating itself. To stand out a little, I try to incorporate unexpected content or unique twists; sometimes little adjustments make a big difference. Despite the repetition, how do you maintain the freshness of your content?
