I want to start a new blog very soon. As a newbie i want to know blogging challenges in 2026. I have strong skill on keyword research, Content planning & Onpage SEO.
What are blogging challenges in 2026

WIth ai mastering several niches
I wouldn't go for a written content blog
Rather go with videos
Or look for a system to combine both

Combine both video and content?
If i write content on a topic and make a video on same topic, publish both in my blog. Would it be better?

1) People are reading less, they prefer to watch short videos
2) When people don't want to watch a short video, they prefer to talk to an AI chatbot to get personalized answers instead of searching for it on Google. They are not the majority yet, but the number is increasing quickly
3) When people finally go to Google to search about something, they often found the answers on AI overview
4) Even if they scroll down, you still need to rank high
Not easy to beat it

your points is logical but i want to know in my content will i publish some video/or short video, will it be good? Is there any example where they combine both and there ranking top on google?

There is no way you will have a blog
Where you have contents that also leads to video won't be successful
Just speaking about content format in order to have it both ways and not just a blog
If 8 write about how to use a virtual card on certain website and includes a video link on how to do it
I could get traffic both ways

Exactly said. I am agree with you. In the content if i can share some related video, its fulfill traffic demand and traffic will stay long time. Bounce rate will go down and google like it.

I think Local Company sites will be UP and relevant in the future.
People try to find local city services, and right now, the AI doesn´t give good results yet.
If you are trying to make a regular blog. Personalize it with your name. You can then use that blog to personalize yourself, for example, on the work front. Because with AI, participants become zombie hordes, so to speak, which do not in themselves tell what kind of person you are at work. Artificial intelligence can then find your information and highlight you, for example, in job opportunities in the future, even 10 - 15 years from now. Of course, it´s possible your blog is not alive anymore in 10 - 15 years, But it´s possible, that the AI has analyzed and taken your data to this hardisk, where this blog and the data can be found and used.
But yeah it´s true that people dont read, they mostly watch. I have seen it with my cousins. They don´t use computers they mostly use phones for everything and they find their information in "video format". Sure, some people read a lot of books, but not blog posts by search results.
I think this backlink business is going to end in the future. So all the money and time invested in it is a bit like a waste of money. Website creation tools, maintenance systems will be history in the future. I recommend gradually moving to something else if possible.

seo will take time to work, but you can start by running ads which will get you immediate traffic so you can start testing and so on
