Mailing Practices A 1 Page Flyer

I've had just about no success with emails. I've emailed 30+ dentists; no responses. Haven't made a penny off of my site dentist website that is ranking on the 1st page of Google for 5 keywords.

So, I have another idea, but just want to see what others think.

I'd design a nice, catchy 1 page flyer which does the following:

- shows my site on Google
- briefly explains what I'm offering
- shows advantages
- etc.

I'd then take this flyer to Fedex Kinko's and have 100 or so copies made. I'd write out all the addresses of the practices (by hand to make it look personal), and send one to each dentist.

What do you guys think?

Teeth whitening? Why are people searching for dentists? To get their teeth cleaned. Why not leech off their insecurities and just dump them off to a teeth whitener product.

Not usually. Most dental offices have a practice manager (office manager) that handles this administrative type stuff, so the dentist can stay busy drilling teeth and making $$$. Maybe you should try adapting your advertising message with the practice manager in mind.

How much traffic is the site getting? Maybe you should push this angle, make them see the money they are passing up and they will fall over each other to snap up your site. Either that or they are millionaires already.

u need to walk into the dentist office or speak to them on the phone direct. That will get you the best results

I agree with SuperBlackHat. You need to get in front of them, or second, get them on the phone.

You could mail it then follow up with a call. You can find handwriting fonts that you can use on the envelopes. Or get some overnight mailers from UPS/Fedex and put your letter in there, but hand deliver it in the evening and leave it at their door.

If you can mail it with some time of OTO of limited time offer, maybe you could get them to call you, and that's really powerfull

PS: I also have a localizated dentist site and didn't make a money with it I guess we both follow the same method here in BHW. At least my site is PR3, and I will probably sell some links

Check out the 0ffline her0's method (there's a copy in the downloads section) they have a pretty good method for contacting people. Essentially what they do is send a sales email (really short) and offer a personalized video (screencast) for that business - simple call to action at the end is just 'hit the reply button'.

You fire up Jing (or your screen recording program of choice) and do a 3-5 minute video on what you have to offer and how it will benefit them. If they're interested you get them to call you (so you don't need to do any cold calling) - if you don't get a response then check back in every week or so.

I've tried it twice and both people I've sent it to are now clients. It's so much nicer than a phone call because if I screw up I just cancel and start over - I stress out on phone calls about saying the wrong thing.

Depending on the area (mine for example) telling the dentist they'll be on the first page of Google means nothing. They don't see the benefit to them. Your letter should tell, maybe something like the following: how no one uses the yellow pages anyone. If Joe Schmoe is looking for something he goes to the internet. Even for local things. Point out the number of people searching for (your city) dentist and other keywords related to what they do.

If it's not alot of people, that's still ok, give them numbers like how much an average client is worth to them, then explain that even if only a few people come from the internet they'll still be making X (life time value of a certain number of customers).

Sell them on the end result. More money. Not on being #1 in Big G.

I develop for busy professionals - attorneys, medicos, accountants - and I can tell you that direct mail is absolutely the WORST way to reach most of them. You need to:

1. Find the local association for both dentists and the American Association of Dental Office Managers. Write an article (or grab a PLR) for their newsletter or pub on facebook marketing, social web, etc.

2. Take out ads or buy a local insert in the local association newsletter

3. Offer to give a free brownbag talk on web issues

4. Provide a cheap service in a specific niche - like setting up their LinkedIn or Facebook page

I dont understand all the difficulty here when I already gave you the answer. Things are nowhere near this complicated. Get in their face personally or get them on the phone and make the deal. DONE!
