My short videos give me lot of views and subscribers. But when I upload long form content on same channel, these subscribers do not want that content.

Sounds like your audience loves quick hits, not long-form content. You might need a separate channel for longer videos or find a way to hook them in early so they stick around.

Yes, some experts do not recommend uploading long videos to short video channels, they say it disrupts the channel's algorithm.

Different audiences... shorts, they watch a lot of them like on tiktok. long form, they want to learn something.
It's like if i want to buy a budget car and you offer me a plane instead.

Yes, there are many people who say that it makes sense to create a separate account for short videos because the reach of long form videos can suffer if you upload both to one account.

That’s a common issue! A lot of short-form viewers are looking for quick, bite-sized content. You might want to try repurposing long-form content into shorter clips or highlights to keep your audience engaged without losing the value of the longer videos.

It is true, the audience for shorts does not want to watch long videos. You should target each type of audience with a different channel.

Short videos are usually engaging, quick, funny, or intriguing; viewers don’t need to commit much time. In contrast, long videos require more focus and time investment and often demand deeper content, storytelling, tutorials, or analysis. The behavior of these two types of audiences is different, so it’s completely understandable that subscribers gained from short videos may not be interested in the longer content you upload

Mostly yes Shorts subscribers rarely watch long-form videos. Shorts attract casual viewers, while long-form needs deeper interest. If you want both to work, build Shorts around the same niche + same audience intent as your long content.

It works the other way around.
Content creators who upload long form videos, split those videos into short ones to harness that traffic to their long form videos.

It depends a lot on your niche. If you want a niche that works with both shorts and long-form videos, you can, for example, narrate stories and use shorts that create intrigue so viewers are encouraged to watch the full video.

Some shorts niches don’t translate well into long videos, for example, dancing animals, random AI-generated clips, etc.

You could try connecting the two by turning popular Shorts into extended versions or playlists so the audience views both, but often times short form viewers won’t really engage in longer style vids.

I have seen this being done by some creators but still the mentioned long video did not get much views.

I am also facing the same problem, audience would prefer to watch shorter videos, you can still keep it going

This often happens because viewers are drawn to the short-form content style and may not have the same interest in longer videos, suggesting you might need to tailor your long-form content or create a separate channel for it.

If you make shorts from the long form videos and add the related videos back to the long it may help

I make shorts from my long videos and link back to the long video. I also add a pinned comment on the short with link back to my website page related to the short topic.

I find that subscribers from shorts are often not interested in long videos. I find it best to create a separate channel for long form or use shorts as teasers to lead them to watch long videos. This way, you can both keep views from shorts and test new content
