Started with a clickbank product...

OK, you wanna know if your article is any good.....well to be honest I can't be bothered to read it just like your not really bothered to read the other thread. If it would benefit me then sure I would give it a go. The way to tell if it's any good is by tracking the visitors you get from the article and how many of those buy your product. Just like AB testing. If your getting loads of visitors and no sales then the answer is......

P.S. You've already taken the most important step...action. People like to help those who help themselves.

Complete dick. Can't say I expected it, but it's my fault.

You need to calm down and stop disrespecting people here. If you have read anything then you would know there are many options. Do the ones that seem to you easy and comfortable , if they work that`s fine, if not keep doing the others. It takes time patience I.Q. but this place takes care of pretty much everything. People here are nice and you will be fine. Just nobody will jump as you say. Advices here are good and FREE so take them as you wish. I am a noob too but I don`t jump at people and call them d!ck. May your journey in IM be adventurous with good outcome

It's mind-boggling that you can't fathom WHY I'm being a dick to you. You asked questions and people have repeatedly told you to go out and try stuff.

Can't you understand that this is a game you have to figure the specifics out for yourself?

Every niche is different. Every target market is different. Hell, even the time of day that people buy stuff is different across different markets.

So what does that mean?

Well, unless someone here is promoting the EXACT same product as you in the EXACT same way, they wouldn't be able to tell you what may work well and what doesn't. Sure, you can find plenty of guides and info on what has worked in the past but nobody can tell you SPECIFICALLY what is GUARANTEED to work unless they themselves are actively promoting THAT SPECIFIC PRODUCT to the EXACT SAME PEOPLE - and if they were, why would they tell you what works for them? You're their competition!

Take the information that's ALL OVER this forum and apply it. See what works, what doesn't, and tweak it until you get some success.

And grow a set of balls, for Christ's sake. You've been whining and begging in this forum since your first post.

Build links to your squidoo lense

Sorry, but that's shitty advice. Big G slapped the hell out of Squidoo's authority over a year ago. When's the last time you saw a Squid lens rank for anything remotely competitive? It's been quite a while for me. Personally, I regard Squidoo as useful only for a web 2.0 backlink and that's about it.

As far as ranking the lens itself, you'd be much better off ranking a YouTube video, a press release, or your own site.

This is a classic example of noobs posting stupid threads. Instead of taking advice of members, OP has decided to disrespect others.

EFFbishesAQUIREmoney: I know that all you really want is to be spoon-fed. There is a place for people with such attitude- its called DP. You will find good company there. Either post something which makes sense of feel free to move to DP.

Thank you, this post is informative (serious).

After realizing that I was being retarded with my original posts, I asked you a simple question. I just wanted to know whether I should post more Squidoo articles, and you've answered that here. Also, I wanted to know if "liking" my Squidoo articles will get it ranked.

@ OP
You need to calm the fuck down and stop acting like a demanding child that needs their diaper changed.
You have bumped your thread within 10 or 15 minute intervals like the members of this forum are obligated to give you answers. I am astonished that you have not been flamed more or even banned for your childish behavior.

You evidently have read somewhere to write an article and use twitter to drive traffic there. Then why not do that....Get your 500 followers, hell get 5000 followers and tweet your article. See how well that converts and go from there.

Once you try that, you will be able to ask more specific questions about how to improve the method. Until then you might wanna just forget this thread and read more on the forum and save your reputation.

@OP: Help in this forum - as I see it - is a privilege you earn by taking action and contributing with your gained knowledge and experience to the community. It's not a right you demand. It may be a pain in the a** at the beginning, but in the long run you'll see it's important you earn your knowledge through trial and error.

Other than that, you have an amazing amount of knowledge for the take in previous posts -granted, there's a lot of crap, too. Tough-. gonzomcribbinz is one of the sharpest, most experienced fellows here, particularly when it comes to CB, and that whole thread he pointed you to is excellent, imo. You'd be doing yourself a favor by reading it in detail and applying what you've learned.

Having said that, I can chip in a bit by saying this:

Sorry, but I don't think your Squidoo promotion will be effective.

First, I would never utilize Squidoo as a mere landing page. There are too many distractions and you added a few more by including an Amazon module. Choose your monetizing method and design the page accordingly. When you promote Amazon or ebay, the point is to get your visitors to click on the g*** d*** link and get them cookied as they arrive to the site. When you are promoting a CB product and you're getting to your customers at the beginning of the buying cycle like you are here (I don't do this), you need more preselling to be effective. This you do by having good, incomplete content (you don't; sorry) and (ideally, but really very important) by getting them to sign up for your newsletter. Then you'll have a thousand opportunities to sell to them while giving them relevant info on the subject.

Also, you have your links at the bottom of the page, while the articles content is, as I said before, not good. It's always a good idea to have at the very least one link above the fold (specially when you're selling Amazon or ebay products) and a few throught the content. In any case, the probability that 500 Twitter followers who won't really be that loyal nor (I assume) will end up being all that targeted get to a pre-selling page with tons of distractions and options, unappealing content and wrongly distributed links; then click on those links and end up buying your product (didn't check the sales letter nor CB data, sorry) on their first time around is very slim. Sure, you can tweet more than once, but I wouldn't expect miracles from that traffic, unless I would have very carefully selected who I added.

One more thing, regarding what gonzomcribbinz said about Squidoo: It's true it's much harder now to rank with a lens, but it's far from impossible. They do require more time and effort to get them there, but in my experience they end up being more stable and require less maintenance than other web 2.0 properties. Is it worthy? Depends on you.

Then again, I could be all wrong. I use Squidoo and pretty much everything else in a whole different way ,so the best thing you can do is try yourself. Then please come back and tell us about it. I guarantee you we won't be such dicks by then.

Thanks, very informative post.

Regarding twitter, the reason why I'm getting more followers (using Tweet Following for account creation/following my main acc) is so that once I tweet the link, it can be retweeted by all the other accounts (click of a button using Tweet Following). I'm not sure, but I would guess that will direct a lot of traffic. And if something is retweeted a lot, then Google recognizes that?

Could be wrong, but your input on this?

Actually no, I ranked a few lenses very well got up to #2 spot for a good keyword once.

What's the key to getting your lenses ranked? I've had it up for a day, but I'm just wondering what I can do to directly improve its chances.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that it was IMPOSSIBLE but it's certainly not as easy as it used to be and certainly not as easy as ranking something else.

I'm going to be spending the time and effort to SEO a property, it's going to fall under one of two categories:

1) It's a parasite property (YouTube, PR, EzineArticle, etc) that I can rank FAST.

or

2) It's my own site so I don't have to worry about it getting deleted or competing for clicks with the ads that are all over the parasite property.

Since Google devalued Squid lenses, it's often not much more difficult to rank a reasonably aged (~6 mos old) site than a lens so why not just spend the effort to do that?

Anyway, just my take on the subject.
