Will i have issues sending 10-50 private DMs per day manually?

hey folks! i’m trying to figure out the best way to find and reach out to niche creators on instagram without getting my account throttled. i’ve got a list of names from public sources and just want to learn how people usually match those names to real profiles and message them safely -- any tips or tools people actually use for that sort of outreach would be super helpful!

I want to reach out to them as I think they'll really value hearing about a comunity I'm building to see if they want to be a part of the beta - I guess its advertising but where is the line drawn between that and personal invites? Looking to do reachout to 2000+ people over the course of a couple of months

With Private dms to users who are not following back, that may get your profile flagged. Look into sending dms to users who either follow you back or send comments which is also very good.

20,30 DMs a day. Talk a bit before pitching. Use emails if possible

The main difference between outreach and advertising is intent and personalization. If you’re genuinely inviting people who fit your community’s niche and tailor your messages, it’s more of a personal invite than promo. Just make sure your messages don’t look templated or spammy. You can also warm up your account by engaging with their content before DMing to reduce throttling risk.

if its an old account then i don't think you will face any issues for sending 20-30 dms.

I am not doing any marketing on IG, but based on some personal experience:


Some people sent me a message without following me and I've received that messages with years of delay, like 5-6 (crazy)

Every link message from spammers went to junk so to say, and also many came with delay of months etc (few times checked that)


Based on that two, I would never even consider putting an image, links no way, so just plain text.

If they need to go for a website, just make sure you have some branded name, so google can rank you 1st for your site kw


There is also some other unverified info that probably is correct, but to make it short, I would send randomly per account:

5 - 12 DM

7 days, 7 random DMs

3, 6, 7, 9, 1, 4, 12

Gives you the best chance to stay outside of trouble.

Again, I don't do IG....but they can flag you under seconds. I would follow this type of pattern.
