Not gonna lie guys.
Feel like I got punched in the gut by shopify.
Put tremendous effort on my store and did a lot to keep it safe from chargebacks etc. Set up chargeflow. Hired 24/7 customer service. Gave customers precise delivery estimates.
My store is new and has 0 chargebacks. Not 1. Zero...
Received an email from shopify saying the payouts are paused until I do a identity verification etc.
I tried doing it automatically but it kept failing so I decided to do a manual verification.
I contacted the shopify team by email requesting a manual ID verification.
A few days after that I got a cold email stating my shopify payments had been disabled due to elevated chargeback risk.
I didn't receive 1 payout from this account btw. They are sitting on $12,400 I made,
I believe the issue must have been that they linked this new account to an old account that had a high chargeback rate.
I am trying to figure out what to do. I am USA based but majority of my traffic and sales are from EU and the UK.
I am thinking of maybe getting another processor but very unsure which to choose. I would want one that works in EU and UK that I can get as an American.
But i also gotta figure out how I am gonna pay rent... Seriously. Im not in good shape and wasn't expecting shopify to curb me like this on an account with 0 chargebacks.
I was being incredibly careful this whole time with this new account.
anyways y'alls advice would be appreciated.
I just been depressed the whole day since receiving that mail from shopify.

It could be for either of these 2 reasons... most processors in the US will not let you process the majority of your transactions outside the US. Im not sure there are hard rules from the card brands(I think Mastercard has one), or they are internal bank rules, but either way as a US based merchant, this is not allowed. Secondly, very possible they can link old and new accounts together, but I dont think they would see your cb performance unless you have given previous processing statements or it was put on match.

Thats why I liked shopify payments. It works internationally. I was getting all my shopify sales from EU and UK. Now trying to find an alternative that will work in EU/UK,

'I believe the issue must have been that they linked this new account to an old account that had a high chargeback rate.'

How could they do this ? Did you use a laptop with new browser and IP adress ?

I used a unique dolphinanty profile with a unique residential proxy. I think the way they connected it was my home address on the LLC. Or more likely the same social security number. Is there a way to create a new shopify and avoiding linkage to previous shopify payments accounts?

Use credit card, PayPal, and Klarna for the EU and UK — that’s what I’d recommend. For PayPal and Klarna, use 1-day payouts; that way, they can’t hold your money.
Thanks for the advice but it take a while to set these processor up right? And I would have to get approved by klarna right? I am US based.

Yes, this explain everything. Especially if both accounts are under the same person/ID/name.

Next time, use another ID. Or move on and use another payment processor.

I hope they will transfer the money for you, because Stripe, PayPal and all this garbage are stealing people's money nowadays, instead of locking it for months, they simply take it, rob you and you can't do anything. Maybe because you are in the US, they won't do that.

Company is owned by "zionists". I'm not surprised. And yes the same thing happened with a previous store. The locked the money and then only gave me a small portion of it after 120 days.

thats exactly what happened. if nothing happened in the newest account, you can bet your banned account got linked to this one

Yeah, that summary lines up well. Those “pay-per-view” casino logo offers aren’t common through public affiliate programs; most iGaming deals pay per registration or deposit. If you’re serious about it, contacting the casinos or verified affiliate managers directly is safest. Anything promising big logo-view payouts with little oversight is usually either private, invite-only, or not fully legitimate.

That’s a tough hit, especially when you’ve done everything right. Try appealing to Shopify with a clear explanation, but don’t wait on them get a backup processor like Stripe, Payoneer, or 2Checkout set up fast. Protect your cash flow however you can, and treat this as a push to diversify. You’ve still got momentum don’t let this stop you.

Thanks for the advice. Absolutely got momentum i agree. Does 2checkout work in EU? Strip i think is risky because they are connected with shopify payments

No need to be depressed Jaf, we've all been there with shopify.

Could you please specify what kind of products you were selling?
To be fair, chances of success with the dispute with Shopify Support are low, and they take a looong time (going through one as I write this message).

Usually, from my experience, it's the volume of sales that gets you banned fastest, after that is the CB rate. Since you mentioned that you were expecting 12k in one payout, could you specify during how many days did you make all of these sales?

HMU if you need further help with shopify, I might have a solution for you.

I appreciate it, I actually started doing $1K days a few days after getting approved. So after a little over a week I had made $12K. My mentor told me to just stay under $5K a day for the first month. Not sure if he was right. Your help would be appreciated. I am thinking of using Airwallex or Revolut payment processor as a secondary option. I do wish I was able to sustain the Shopify payments though. They shut it I thinkbecause they related it to my old shopify account etc. I am thinking maybe making an international shopify account based in Italy if possible. That I think could help avoid taxes aswell im thinking

That’s a brutal situation, especially when you’ve done everything right. Appeal to Shopify, but don’t count on it get a backup processor fast, like Stripe or 2Checkout, and keep things moving. Treat this as a reminder to never rely on one platform for payments. Keep pushing you’ve built something solid, this is just a setback.

Have you tried using Airwallex?

Have you tried using Airwallex?
I actually applied for them today. Got accepted then when I did the airwallex gateway/processor application I got rejected :-(
Are there any others you would reccomend?

They do this every time a new shopify account hits roughly 10-20k.
