Anyone Noticing Sudden Drops in Impressions Lately?

Is is happening on multiple channels for you or just one channel ?
For now only one channel, i thought this fluctuation was a little strange because my other one seemed to be very stable

usually creators get a higher rpm during Q4 , since these are the holiday seasons and people are going to purchase a lot during these periods, we believe youtube does this random selection of promoting some channels, while others go down, this is just a temporary thing, so just be patient for 2-3 months.
Well said I didn't consider how exposure and RPMs might be impacted by the Q4 ad blitz. By January, do you think things will have returned to normal?

Its likely normal seasonal fluctuation or changing viewer behavior, not a secret YouTube algorithm update. Keep posting consistently and monitor trends.

Last year there was a change due to the election, this year they scanned my gg adsens account so it dropped a lot, my channel itself also dropped by 40% what a disaster

Yeah, probably a bit of both YouTube tweaks things all the time and viewer habits shift seasonally. Keep an eye on your analytics and maybe test small tweaks to thumbnails or titles, that usually helps.

Hi everyone, My uploads have remained consistent, however over the past few weeks, impressions and CTR have fluctuated. Has YouTube made another secret algorithmic tweak, or is this merely a seasonal problem?
One of my channels is boosting up, I am seeing constant increase in views. You should also post content that viewers like to share with friends.

By feb-march usually the rpms and views will reset back to default.

How many videos you upload per month? If there any other big creators getting g popular in same niche?

I attempt to post roughly 2 videos a week. You’re right, there’s been a spike in new creators in the specialty, so maybe that’s part of the variability.

That makes sense. Until things start over the following year, I'll concentrate on consistency and high quality content.

I've heard people complaining about this a lot, there's nothing you can do about it, just keep posting videos constantly until it gets better

Good to see that your channel is expanding, that's a great suggestion, and I'll attempt to produce more stuff that may be shared

Totally experiencing the same, impressions have tanked despite staying consistent with uploads

Yes, many creators noticed it likely a YouTube algorithm or seasonal dip. Stay consistent, refresh thumbnails/titles, and monitor analytics trends before making big changes.

Usually my new videos get views around 1k-2k in a week after uploading but from last few weeks new videos are not getting enough views and likes. I have promoted the same way as my old videos but not achieved enough exposure in views. is there any changes in algo?

a mix of algorithm shifts and seasonal behavior is normal focus on testing thumbnails, titles, and posting times, and the trends usually stabilize.

Yeah impressions seem unstable for many creators probably a mix of seasonal shifts and YouTube tweaking how it surfaces new content

The YouTube algorithm seems to be selecting the audience your video will be suggested to based on specific criteria. It's not pushing your videos to niche audiences anymore, but rather to people who have already watched videos with similar titles or keywords. I'm saying this because my YouTube channel is getting fewer impressions, but the CTR has skyrocketed. I'm initially seeing CTRs of 25%+ and good retention rates, but the videos aren't going viral. This means YouTube changed something in its algorithm, and now it seems to be prioritizing other factors. Of course, my CTR is high because my thumbnails and titles are eye-catching. I have over a decade of experience with YouTube – if I weren't good at this, there'd be something wrong haha.

dip of about 20–30% thus far. It seems erratic some videos perform exceptionally well, while others hardly receive any attention. I'm attempting to determine whether it's algorithmic behavior or niche-related. How are things going for you?
That's exactly what's happening on my channel, and it used to happen on my second one when I was still active on it. Only one video goes viral at a time the others get around 100 views per day on average, no matter what I do. And when the one that's blowing up starts to fade, another one suddenly takes off and gets tons of views. This is pure algorithm manipulation.

If you've ever worked with delivery apps like DoorDash or Uber Eats, you know these platforms manipulate you to keep you enslaved staying online making deliveries for low pay. If you refuse, you're penalized. In YouTube's case, it's similar… If you stop posting, or even stop logging into your channel (yes, just logging in) and abandon it completely, your video reach gets throttled until it eventually dies.

YouTube is giving you hope by having just one video perform really well. You stay hopeful and keep posting. They keep one video going viral or getting solid views, while the others linger at around 100 to 500 views per day all just to keep you on the platform, creating and consuming content.

When it comes to the algorithm, you can't beat it. If you think you're winning, just know: the algorithm is aware of everything you do. It only allows it because it tolerates it. For example, if you buy views, it knows. It tolerates it because it sees that as an indirect effort to grow your channel. If you buy monetized views, it also knows. Your CPM might be high the first few days depending on your niche, but after about two weeks, it slashes it and you'll end up losing money instead of making any.

With over a decade on YouTube, I’ve learned how things work. I still have a lot more to learn, but one thing I’m sure of is this: YouTube’s algorithm, given its annual profit, receives heavy investment from Alphabet (Google). You will always be manipulated.

I can see where you're coming from, and that's an intriguing viewpoint. It's true that YouTube's algorithm occasionally operates in odd ways the way it promotes video might seem erratic or even deliberate. The ideal strategy, I suppose, is to concentrate on audience engagement, consistency, and adjusting to what appears to be effective over time
