No easier way to leave footprint than this way. Though it'll only matter if they do a manual review of your links.
If they have any sort of 'SEO power', they'll pass it definitely, but there are other risks.

Google ignores server IP adresses, you can have a PBN on the same server, that will be okay. To check if the backlinks are working : look in "links" section of the search console for your website example3.com. If you can see the links form example1.com and example2.com, then it works.
