Hi! I don't know what data scraping is, but there are tons of places offering millions of residential proxies. I tried a few, IPFighter says that the IPs are blacklisted. I'm now considering using 4G proxies. I just need a clean IP to use once a week to register an account and pay a posting. Do you think 4G proxies are better than residential proxies as of creating an account on a website? Thanks!

P.S. I'm also considering to buy a Windows VPS and use RDP. Any thoughts by people already tried these methods?

for account registration, I always use dedicated residential or mobile proxies with IP rotation feature. I also partner this with a clean phone or with an anti-detect browser. For choosing correct provider, it'll not hurt if you'll ask for a trial first, if they can't provide a trial, ask if they can give you a 1-2 hour paid service to test it out.

You don't need millions of proxies if you only make an account once a week. You just need a clean and reliable IP. Residential proxies can function, but a lot of inexpensive ones utilize IPs that have been blacklisted before, which might cause problems like the one you noticed on IPFighter. In these situations, a decent 4G proxy is frequently safer because mobile IPs change on their own and are much less likely to be identified. A VPS with RDP can also work, however it depends on how clean the datacenter IP is, since some sites block them automatically. If you go that route, make sure the supplier is known for having IP ranges that are new and not often abused.

mobile proxies are harder to ban (CGNAT stuff that risks banning legit users). the proxies aren't enough on their own though, you've gotta warm up profiles, gather cookies, all that good stuff. registration is among the biggest pains in the ass, but yes, mobile proxies will get you there. if ur automating,
i know decodo's got mobile proxies for like $8/month and proxidize has mobile proxies where you can pay like $59/month for a dedicated one

For light account creation, 4G proxies usually work better since they rotate through real mobile networks and appear more natural, but pairing them with a clean VPS setup adds extra consistency.

It is so refreshing to see a scraper that actually incorporates analysis rather than just leaving us with half-baked data and making it our problem to solve. thanks for the recs

Mobile proxies 1st, resi proxies 2nd best choice.

4G/5G proxies should work but imho too expensive for the job, if you manage to find a good quality (low fraud score, not resold/shared) static isp proxy it'll suffice and possibly give you better dl/ul as they're always attached to high speed uplinks (1Gbps+).

Absolutely! If you can afford it, 4G (mobile) proxies are definitely better than residential proxies for creating accounts on most websites. The reason is simple: mobile IPs are seen as more trustworthy and natural, so they’re way less likely to get flagged or banned.

Usually for account registration (assuming this is for social media) , and if you only want to register the account, I'd recommend either mobile proxies or residential proxies. It depends how many you'll be creating and what your use case is after you create the accs - are you just selling the accs or you plan to perform activity on them? If performing activity, you may need to go down the mobile proxy route since those usually have unlimited bandwidth.

Yeah, I’d go with 4G proxies. They use real mobile networks, so the IPs look legit and rarely get flagged. Residential ones are kinda hit or miss, and VPS IPs usually get flagged fast.

For account creation i can suggest you to go with mobile proxies. Residential are working to but mobile have a better trust. Good luck :)

When creating a few accounts, mobile 4G connections usually give smoother results because they use real carrier IPs that look authentic. Using them alongside a stable VPS helps keep performance steady and reduces connection issues.

4G proxies are generally “cleaner” because the IPs rotate through mobile carrier networks, which are harder for websites to blacklist. For light usage like creating 1 account per week, 4G proxies are usually safer than many residential proxy pools that are already flagged. Just make sure you use fresh sessions and don’t reuse the same IP across multiple accounts.

I always use residential proxies, although there are some websites for which mobile proxies are more suitable.

4G proxies are usually the safer choice for account creation.

What’s your budget? Generally, 4G proxies are more expensive, and residential proxies can fully support your business use case. So my recommendation is to stick with residential proxies.
