Avoid shopify account linkage

I’m planning to set up a new Shopify store but every time I create one it ends up linked to my previous stores, which had been suspended due to chargebacks. I want to keep using Shopify Payments but avoid linkage and risk, so I’m wondering whether it’s a good idea to use a family member’s information (for example my aunt or my brother) or to buy someone else’s Shopify account? I’m open to other ideas etc.

are you using the same ID among them? if you so, you need to create an LLC and create a new store with it.

you can't let shopify figure out if you are the new account owner

Yes I did use an LLC but Shopify is not doing Identity verification and requiring ID verifcation etc. So I don't think LLC is a way around this. Also Shopify payments requires SSN...

maybe create a non US corporation just to so they don't require ssn from that non-us entity

Don't use someone else's info or buy an account — it can get blocked. The legal way is to appeal to Shopify, resolve old chargebacks, and improve operations.

Oh wow I never thought of that. So a non US based LLC. But I live in the USA. Wouldnt I need to live outside of the USA to do that?

Contact Shopify Payments/support to resolve past chargebacks and appeal suspensions, shore up your refund and order-verification processes, implement fraud-prevention tools and clear policies, consider registering a proper business entity and getting a merchant account through legitimate channels, or consult a payments/legal specialist for compliant alternatives.
