Reddit CEO Says Chatbots Don't Help Much

I just read that Reddit's CEO, Steve Huffman, said AI chatbots like Chatgpt and Gemini don't really bring traffic to Reddit.

He said most people still come from Google or just open Reddit directly - about half from each side.
It's kind of funny, because everyone talks about how AI is changing search. But Reddit is still growing strong - 116M daily users and more people using its own AI search inside the app.

Feels like Reddit wants to build its own search system instead of waiting for AI tools to send visitors.
I think it makes sense - people still trust real discussions more than AI answers.

What do you guys think?

yeah ! that actually make sense cuz reddit strength has always been in a community-driven cotent and trust factor. AI can summarize but they can't replicate the actuall authentic user discussion, building their own search system would be the smart move by the steve i think....

Yes, Reddit shows people still like real talks, not AI replies. Other forums might also grow again because people want real conversations.
