I found a few groups in my niche that has been inactive from a few weeks to a few years and the admins are no longer working it they setup the group so all new posts do not get posted without permission but they did not stop people from posting replies to people who have posted. I am currently replying to all the members but was wondering is there a way to take the group over from the admin ? the admin is no where to be found, doesnt answer any messages nothing.

Hi, this group appears abandoned and the admin is unresponsive. Can you advise on transferring admin or restoring activity? Screenshots available on request.

only legal way would be to wait for the owner tbh, if you have some info of the owners/admins acc. you could bf but thats not recommended for obvious reasons haha

Facebook doesn’t make it easy anymore If the admin inactive your best bet is to contact them directly or report the group as abandoned

Divert users with reach out on profile and send messages could chance to have the active member on profile list to add on create own group and invite add members.
making post on inactive group with admin approval needed on new post is waste of time.

There’s no official way to take over a Facebook group without the admin’s permission. You can instead create a new group on the same topic, invite active members, and build your own engaged community.

The only thing you can do is build relationships with members and invite them to a new group.

Create a new group, and advertise it to that inactive page/group so you can get some of the active members of that group, if that makes sense.

You cannot takeover if there are still current admins. Facebook will only assign new admins when all admins leave the group. It will be more effective to continue interacting and redirecting members to your new group.

There’s no legit way to take ownership unless the current admin adds you or Facebook flags them as inactive. Best move is to engage members and build a new group around that niche.

You can’t directly claim control of an inactive group so reach out to existing admins or support and if that fails start a new group and bring members over

haha there is nothing you can do but wait for a response from the admin.

You can create a new group and redirect peoples from these groups to your group . is not a way to take over a group

Unfortunately, if the admin is completely inactive and doesn’t respond, there’s no official way to “take over” a group on Facebook.

Unfortunately, Facebook doesn’t allow taking over inactive groups, your best move is to start a new one and invite active members over gradually.

Unfortunately, you can’t officially take over a Facebook group without admin access. The best option is to start your own active community instead.

You can’t claim admin unless Facebook removes the old one, and that rarely happens

There no way to force a platform to transfer admin right from soem one else to you if their old account still exits, the onlu option is a voluntary transfer from the current administrator.

it's impossible except the admin of group grants you the right to the group. if that group is really potential for your work, you can try to contact to admin. If not, you can find another.

I think you should contact the administrator to take over that group. Or you could become a member of the group and post a message to restore it.
