Hello everyone, Uploads to my channel have been steady, however in the past few weeks, impressions have abruptly decreased. Does anybody else notice this? Wondering whether YouTube altered something in the algorithm or viewer behavior.

There could be some form of penalty on your channel. Yoy should create a new channel and try uploading same type of content there. If it gets better response, this is confirmation that your previous channel has penalty.

This can be because of number of factors. Like the topic could be seasonal.

You make a valid point; in fact, seasonality may account for it. That didn't occur to me. Have you seen whether, on your end, engagement tends to decline around this time of year?

I don't know but I thought Halloween would be a push to my channel due to it's a festivity that my audience adores but I'm having a regression in my analytics

It depends on niche. All channels will not see decline at same time.

I also had a drop in views on three channels. I think YouTube is testing some algorithms again.

yeah i noticed the same thing. my YouTube impressions dropped even though i posted same amount and quality. from thread: could be algorithm change, more competition, or my videos not triggering autoplay/push as much.

plan: review thumbnails + titles, boost watch time by shortening intros, re-upload best old video, and track impressions vs clicks vs watch time closely.

Yes impressions seem down for many looks like YouTube is pushing newer content differently, so stronger hooks and consistency matter even more now

I’m definitely seeing it Uploads are getting less push than before more views from subs fewer from recommendations or browse Wonder if there’s been a hidden algorithm shift

Yes, many creators are seeing the same likely due to a recent YouTube algorithm tweak or seasonal viewer shifts. Try updating titles/thumbnails and boosting CTR; impressions often stabilize after updates.

Yes, many noticed it likely an algorithm tweak or seasonal drop. Stay consistent and monitor analytics.

Yes, many creators have reported similar drops lately likely due to an algorithm adjustment or seasonal viewer shifts. Keep an eye on audience retention and CTR; sometimes YouTube tests new distribution patterns.

I dont think you need to stop anything. Just keep doing your thing and am sure when things settle it will come back instead of creating a new channel and testing here and there.

Yes many noticed the same drop. Its likely a recent algorithm shift , keep posting it usually balances out soon.

fluctuations are the most common factor in youtube algo, some months you may see very high views and some other months, very low views, don't panic, keep uploading, the videos you have uploaded will be picked up eventually when the algo is back up, usually its a 1-3 month fluctuation.

Could be seasonal too views often dip when theres big events or holidays. Give it some time.

Sometimes its just timing audience behavior shifts during holidays or major events. Steady posting and fresh thumbnails can help bounce back.

Yes, many creators have reported the same lately. YouTube’s been tweaking its recommendation system to favor higher retention and viewer satisfaction over click-through rate alone. Seasonal dips also happen around holidays. Try refreshing thumbnails, improving watch time, and posting when your audience is most active that usually helps recover impressions.

Yeah, I’ve noticed something similar lately. My impressions and CTR both dropped even though I’ve been uploading consistently. It might be a change in how YouTube is recommending content or maybe just viewer trends shifting. You’re definitely not the only one seeing it. Hopefully things balance out soon.
