Totally agree. It's like they gave us a scoreboard that only shows who's winning the game, but not the teams that are actually playing and making progress. Without seeing the full field, you can't really tell how you're doing.

It's literally broken since the num=100 was removed.

I get that they can't update with the same frequency, but..

I'm noticing on my sites that the page 2-10's are just disappearing since mid september when the change happened.

And I'm thinking, but how? Are the keywords just not ranking in the top 100 now..

So I exported some and put them manually in keyword.com

They're all there. Ranging from page 2 to page 9.

Is anyone else seeing this craziness on ahrefs? Surely after a month they would have fixed this instead of just showing sites as tanking.

Yes, you're right. It's not just you. It looks like Ahrefs' data display is wrong because they took out the num=100 parameter. This makes it look like rankings dropped when they really haven't. What I would do? Don't freak out or make any changes to your SEO just because of that data. Until Ahrefs changes how they report, you should keep checking your keywords on other trackers like keyword.com or GSC.

Semrush isn’t a bad tool at all. It’s actually really good. You can get it cheap from the marketplace here unless you don’t want to mess with the finicky account stuff..

Very good for KW research. Never been great for backlink research but I will say it has become MUCH better in recent years.

I use it over ahrefs. I know my niche tho and I dont run an SEO agency. If I did I world probably sub to all of the SEO tool worth it including Semrush, Ahrefs, Majestic and others.

It seems like keywords are dropping out of the top 100 for no clear reason. Hopefully, Ahrefs sorts this out soon!

Yeah, I've noticed the same issue too. Ahrefs seems to be missing a lot of page 2-10 rankings since that change. It's not that the keywords dropped, the tool just isn't showing them properly anymore. I checked with other trackers too, and the rankings are still there. Definitely feels like a data bug on Ahrefs' side.

Yes, same here. A bunch of my page 2–10 keywords vanished from Ahrefs overnight but are still ranking fine when checked manually.

Google might be manipulating data to show that AI is not killing organic search results. If Google doesn't provide accurate data and limit API calls, these tools can't do much. It's high time we have an AI powered free search engine (I suspect that existing ones like comet will have paywalls soon).

Yah they are done, drowning in legacy ware, the query probably or, evidently propagates through so many routes and dashbboards that nobody there has a clue how to fix this.

Ahrefs has just been a fat cat all this time, time for it to lose some weight.
