Hey BHW fam,

I have been doing link building for a while now guest posts, niche edits, HARO, you name it. But this year feels different. Outreach costs are higher, sites are stricter, and Google updates seem to devalue a lot of what used to work.

In the last few months, I have noticed that traffic-focused placements and contextual links on active blogs perform way better than just chasing high DA sites. Metrics don’t seem to matter as much anymore it’s all about real visibility and audience relevance.

Curious to know what you guys are seeing lately:
  • Are guest posts still delivering for you?
  • Have niche edits lost their edge?
  • Anyone experimenting with digital PR or AI-driven outreach?

Would love to hear what’s been giving you real results in 2025.

In 2025, link building is all about relevance and engagement, not just DA. Guest posts still work when placed on active, traffic-rich sites, while niche edits faded a bit. Smart SEOs now mix digital PR with AI-driven outreach for authentic, lasting links

Guest posts are still working great - especially when they’re placed on real, authoritative, niche-specific sites. In our recent campaigns, long-form guest posts have been performing even better, often ranking for 40+ keywords per article.

It really comes down to the structure, keyword placement, and proper formatting - when done right, the articles not only rank faster but also gain strong AI visibility across search and LLM platforms.

This is a very good point, and you're right because 2025 feels like a year of change. I would say to pay less attention to traditional link metrics and more attention to how well your audience aligns with your goals. Don't chase DA; instead, look for locations where your content really suits what the reader wants. Digital PR and AI-assisted prospecting have also worked well for me. They help me find active, relevant blogs faster and tailor outreach on a large scale. Quality talks always beat the number of links.

Guest posts still work if the sites are solid. It feels like niche edits droped in value. Digital PR brings the best long-term links right now

PBNs still work for you and company listing websites.

I get better results from links on blogs that have real visitors, and I think we should also build authority by linking with high-authority sites.

I've been seeing the same thing. It's all about targeting active blogs with real traffic, not chasing high DA sites. Quality is definitely more important this year.
