Sora (the Sora 2 app/platform) is currently being phased out, and OpenAI has stated that the Sora web and app experiences will be discontinued on April 26, 2026, with the API shutting down on September 24, 2026. OpenAI had initially launched Sora 2 with access through the app, sora.com, and the API, but the deactivation help page now confirms the planned shutdown.
