I recently reviewed a local business site that stuffed city names into every heading, title tag, and anchor text. It was brutal to read and Google clearly agreed.
After removing the over optimization rewriting with helpful content, and focusing on user intent, rankings bounced back within a Month
Anyone else noticed similar recoveries after de optimizing local pages?

For sure! That's a nice reminder that less might be more when it comes to local SEO. Too much optimization can be bad for you. My advise is to write for users in a natural way, add location terms when they make sense, and make sure your content is actually helpful. Every time, Google favors clear language and user intent.

Yeah, stuffing too many keywords or repeating city names can backfire fast. Keeping it natural with unique content per location works much better.

Yes, over-optimizing local pages with too many city names or keywords can really hurt rankings. Google now prioritizes natural, helpful content that matches user intent over keyword stuffing. Many sites see strong recovery after simplifying their location pages and improving readability. Focusing on real value instead of repetition works much better long term.

Yes, same here after removing city-name stuffing and rewriting for natural local relevance, rankings and user metrics improved within weeks.

Exactly! It’s great to see others noticing the same pattern. Google’s getting much better at rewarding clarity and intent driven content .less stuffing, more substance.
