well the content of the shoutbox is in <iframe> so google will not be able to see your link inside the code.

Use Scrapebox to post or make a simple script/macro.

The shout boxes seems to have captchas and dont allow urls in the message...

Ya i accept with you they dont get indexed by google,but it works for little traffic...

If the shoutbox is on a website that has good PR and alot of traffic then you can steal some of the traffic with this. No you wont get linkjuice and no you wont get backlinks from it but it can be usefull for product pages etc...

You have to be slow with this also, you cannot post link after link on site after site, the shoutbox makes you wait a few minutes inbetween.

Exactly, this is the problem about shoutbox.

And: shoutbox spam is btw quite old, so I somehow doubt its effectiveness in terms of being recognized by G.

Each result will have that in their source, however with their own unique oggixid code.
Point is, each has an iframe to oggix.net, so all the backlinks will actually only come from 1 site.

I reckon this won't have to much an effect. I had a site i coded myself including a shoutbox which was then spammed so hard that the hoster disabled all my sites because of the load. This was sometimes in 2005... Also like said before all the links will probably be from this one domain.
