I’ve been spending some time looking into dropshipping and wholesale suppliers lately. Not running anything serious yet, just exploring how people find good product sources and handle shipping stuff. I see a lot of mixed opinions about which suppliers or platforms are actually worth it.

If you’ve been in the dropshipping or wholesale game for a while, how did you find reliable sources?
Just curious to hear real experiences not the usual YouTube stuff.

Hello Maya, there is no simple answer to your question. The best advice I can give you is to test them yourself. Place an order for a product and have it shipped to yourself or someone you know so you
can see how fast they ship, the product quality, how packaged, how easy is to to contact them and get a response, etc. Good Luck!

I’d say start with verified directories like Alibaba or CJ Dropshipping, but always test with sample orders first. Check shipping times and product quality before scaling. Once you get consistent sales, consider working with a private agent, it’s usually more reliable than random suppliers you find online.

You need a stable and reliable supplier who can also help with warehousing and full logistics tracking, and should integrate with your ERP system and your store. Additionally, the supplier needs to offer packaging customization, which is crucial. If needed, I am happy to share the supplier I am currently working with.

been diving into dropshipping + wholesale too. the advantage: you buy in bulk, you cut per-unit cost, you control branding. still the tricky part: storage/shipping and risk of unsold stock. i’d test with a small product line, keep marketing tight, pick a hot niche with demand. then scale if you see good margin.

Yeah, most youtube stuff is just hype. I’d say the best suppliers usually come from networking in niche groups or reaching out directly to manufacturers instead of big marketplaces. Takes more time, but you get better prices and fewer middlemen issues.

Unfortunately the best option is to take a cut from dropshiping a product not to get in bulk products as the risk is more for unsold inventory...... However be aware that most sellers on sites like alibaba, aliexpress are themself dropshipers so you need to find the manufacturer to really make a profit otherwise you cant compete with these sellers

Building trust with suppliers takes time but pays off big in the long run
