Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on a few client projects lately and noticed that page speed has become even more critical this year.
I’m curious what stack other developers here are using to build lightweight and high-performing WordPress websites.

Do you prefer using block themes, page builders (like Bricks or Elementor), or fully custom setups?
And what’s your favorite combination of caching or optimization plugins these days?

Would love to hear your setups and what’s been working best for you lately!

Don't use too many plugins that optimize the same functionality, it will conflict or be counterproductive.
Fonts and images are the main "killers" of speed - optimize carefully from the beginning.
Prioritize good hosting (LiteSpeed, SSD, location near the audience) over just worrying about plugins.
Use critical CSS, defer JS and lazy load appropriately.
Don't be afraid to use lightweight custom code instead of heavy plugins.

I used the Airlift plugin before for optimization, but faced an issue where images weren’t loading properly or sometimes half-loaded. Had to disable it finally. Still looking for a stable option that handles lazy loading correctly without breaking images.
